Now let's move on.

It was sad to read how this thread had devolved into a pissing contest. I don't know why this pic of my CJ8 on the Sledgehammer came to mind: that's me in the hat,

Yep, I'm afraid I have to agree; no winners here, only losers. I was a big fan of both of the participants, but I won't be looking them up in OR or BC on our XTC trip to Vancouver next month.
We all need some time away from the computer and to get out on the dirt and away from people for a while and make sure our suposedly great stuff really works for us.

I hope the Scrambler faired better than this train wreck of a thread. (I freely admit my responsibility in sed wreck) and apologize to all.
Mundo . If you can forgive me, we'd love to see ya next month. If not, I understand.
I have a spot on Nicholai mountain that you may like. We role the atv's up there a bunch. Also has an abundance of Jeep trails.
Have a safe trip.

Who said I wanted you to "look me up"? You make it sound as if I had standing plans with you. I don't know you from Adam.

boxcar1, your spelling and sentence structure is horrible and painful to read. It's hard to take someone seriously when they claim all the experience you do, but spell said "sed"....

Move along and let it go.

Isn't there a moderator to delete/kill/put this whole thread out of is misery??
It would be an appropriate response...

Have to agree with the 1 Ton advocates. Why bother with 2500's when you can get a 1 Ton for close to the same money and have the added capacity. Yeah I hear the comments, " but they ride better when I pick up groceries and the kids at soccer". However since we are discussing this in the expedition forum Hard Side TC section I'm advocating capacity/capability. Look at all the MOD's guys end up doing, even with 1 tons. However those 1 Ton mods seem to be done for those monsters basement TC's with slides etc. For capability to go most areas, I'm leaning towards non-basement or semi basement short-box, narrow body TC on a 1 ton (insert brand here).
