Ok there ya go. Had to get a buddy to help with the computer stuff. Anyway there she is. It's titled as a 47 but it has lots of other years parts on it, frame, windshield to name a few.
I'm in the process of getting a Dana 60 to swap into the rear. It has a Eaton HO52 in it now and I can't find gears for it. Current 4.56 but going to 5.38s. Has a Dana 44 in the front. Disc brakes all around.

I may do that. Will have to get the hang of the picture thing then. Glad you like the ol girl. It was love at first sight for me. I've wanted a Willys for a long time and had even looked at your thread. When I saw it I knew it had to come home with me. Sold my fourwheeler and never looked back. Now have extra cash for the Willys. You do some very nice work by the way.

You should be able to find some 5.14 gears for your eaton if you dig around in some yards. There are even some 'no-spin' detriot lockers for those floating around pretty often. I like the old iron. The eaton axles are kinda cool. They are pretty dang strong too! I can't remember for sure, but I think you can bolt in a 30-spline 14-bolt locker and run the 14 bolt shafts ( not 100% sure on the specifics ).
The picture thing is easy once you get started. Get a free photobucket account and upload your pictures there. Then you can link directly fairly easy.
Start a thread on it....it will hopefully keep you motivated when you get feedback.
I've kinda been poking around looking for the 5.14s seems like no one has any Eaton stuff. So if I keep it I'm gonna have to get out and really dig. It has the no-spin in it already so thats why I've been looking. But I was thinking about the 5.38s and how the 22r would like them much better. So that's why I started thinking D 60. I have two located and priced right. My plan is to narrow it down to match the D44 but maybe offset the center section to the right to line up better with the D 18 transfer case output.
The thought of V8 has crossed my mind and it came with T90 and bell housing for a small block chevy. But the little 22r runs so good.
I guess thats the joy of the old school rat rod Willys. I can do whatever I want to it. :victory:

Another two hours in sheetmetal work......
Hey look! My hood is longer now! The second side went much faster and easier.
Then I decided to weld in a little 3/16" rod on the cut hood edge for the higher fender location....
Then I welded a lot...then I sanded a lot.....
This is what the final fit on the hood looks like. I think it turned out pretty good. There is just about an even 1/4" under the hood lip to the top of the fender. Not bad for a hack in a garage with a 110 welder and a 4" grinder!
I will try and finish up the rod on the other side of the hood tomorrow night. Hopefully my hinge shows up soon so I can trim the back edge of the hood for the hing and mount it! I need to remove the 2nd set of hood hold downs and patch a decent amount of holes in the hood still. Then I need to drill new holes for relocated hold down hardware.....

Are you concerned the corner where the hood meets the back of the fender will bind/rub as you try to lift the hood?

That is a really good question! I will have to mock it all up when I get the hinge. Good catch. Its not THAT tight on the back of the fender. I just did a quick doodle and I think the hood hinge pivot location is far enough away that it shouldn't shift that corner of the hood much.

I got the edge welded into the other side of the hood...
I laid out the other tub for the mods. My fancy spot weld cutter showed up in the mail so I can start on the tubs next. I located all passenger side spot welds and marked them. Modding these tubs is going to be a little bit of a pain in the rear, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
I had to remove one grab handle that I have left. I will be replacing the other ones when I have time/coin. I did notice that the stock mounting position might get in the way of the larger wheel opening. If you flip the arm over you can use two of the stock mounting holes. This gets the edge ALMOST to the edge of the tub. I like little changes like this....
I had a thought on rocker guards also. Just imagine this with 1x3 tubing instead of 1x2. Slice it into a 'J', make one side just tall enough to get to the tub on the underside, the opposite side can be just about 2.75" with 3" tall tubing I think. 1/8" wall should be enough for a little jeep like this....
It ends up fitting around the lip on the tub very well. The long leg should be tall enough to be able to bolt into the tub easy enough. The small leg should reach under to the floor. A small tab could be welded to the small leg and then bolted to the floor. If you wanted to get really crazy a small bracket could be added from outside to underside bolts. That would tie everything together very nice I think.....
