Same place as last fall, yes. I had to head back there and see it in the summer. Still lots of snow as you can see. SO many more trails/roads to explore out there. Boggles my mind. haha

Thanks Eric. Do your shackles work on 1st Gen Tacos? He needs some more lift in the rear. I wonder if the dimensions are the same. Any idea?

UPDATE

Speaking of shackles....

I just wanted to give an update on the rear suspension setup from Eric ^ at Archive Garage.

This was my first trip out with the longer 6" AG greaseable shackles, coupled with the SFK kit. As previously mentioned, I am sitting higher in the rear now with the longer shackles. I really consider it to be the PERFECT ride height for these trucks. I gained a little lift but in doing so, also gained a little more bump travel. WOW the difference in ride quality in this series of suspension adjustments is crazy. The truck has never felt smoother and made me realize how I must have been bottoming out the rear end a lot before and just thought it "normal". Now there is the perfect balance of droop travel vs. bump and the ride characteristics are awesome. Definitely a smoother setup that OE, no doubt! I logged 1000kms in the truck this weekend and 200-300kms of those were traveled at high speeds on fire roads or on some slow 4-low crawling type trails. The suspension was great in all areas, but I am just so happy with the truck at speed. With some REAL leaf packs in place and possibly some more tuning on the shock valving, I could consider the rear end "done". Dare I say it?

I can't recommend the SFK and longer shackles enough at this point and let's just say there may be an "expo" type leaf pack available soon to complete the whole package. :Wow1:

Archive Garage now has these kits in stock and are ready to ship, so head on over there if your looking for an excellent, engineered system, that is also up-gradable.

Thank you Addison for the review and testing this kit out with some hard kms. I am now taking orders for approximate August 1st ship date (not in stock yet)

I do not yet offer shackles for 1st gen Tacomas but someone could twist my arm.

I need more lift in the rear, about how much did you get out of the sfk and 6" shackles? I can still feel myself bottoming out the fox shocks. Do you know if anyone has tried this kit on a double cab?

I'll speak with my old man and then let the arm twisting commence. Haha

Lol I've already broken all of my previous vehicle records with #Doug. It's already an accomplishment that I have had it for 3.5 years..... and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Ugh. Can't get enough of the Koots - back to Nelly for me August long.

I don't think it's been tried on a DC. You will gain approx 1-1.25" lift with the SFK and shackle. The shackle gains are approx. .75" over stock and the SFK is about .5" alone .

I bet they are the same but interested to hear.

Killer vid. Very well done, the cinematography was spot on. I can't get over how clean your rig looks.

Thanks man! I could criticize the hell out of it but we are definitely getting better. We actually made the video above for a local film festival entry where the theme was "Trailblazer". Interesting to start shooting video when we've been shooting stills for like combined 50 years. haha

Rear - check. Front - coming soon to a Tundra near you!

The link is broken

Added the link in original post as well. Not sure why the embedded vids have trouble here on Expo.
