Nice! Thanks for sharing. That is exactly what I'm looking for. I'll have to make a trip to the shop next time I'm down in Denver.

If you would like to see it give me a heads up and we may be able to get together next time you are down.

Sounds good. I'll let you know. My daughter goes to the childrens hospital about once a year for a check up in Aurora. We like to make a trip out of it and do some camping in Wyoming on the way down. It should be in or around September this year.

That's a cool idea! I can see the advantage of, as you said, not having to lift the weight of the tent if it was on the lid. I've got my RTT on my trailer's lid. It's a bit heavy to get the lid going when the tent is closed. (I have 150# and 200# lifts.)

Again, nice!

Thanks. I had some problems with the first actuators I used but have since fixed that problem. It works really well. I had to buy ladder extensions to get them to reach the ground at full height. We will have it out this weekend I will get a video of it. I'm really happy with how it has turned out.

Where did you get your lifts from. I have 110#, but need the 150# +

There website is a bit confusing, and options. But their customer service is helpful.

guden.com

Item # I went with for the 150# lift: GGS31-P1 =150 POUNDS EF110
10.00" STROKE, CHROME ROD
Order: 2 Shipped: 2 B/O: 0 Price: 16.91 Ext: 33.82

Merchandise: 33.82
Freight : 13.91
Sales Tax : 3.34
AMOUNT DUE : 51.07

I originally had two 100# lifts, then went with two 150# lifts, and changed out one of the 150# lifts for a 200#. My trailers lid is a bit heavy, and then with the 95# tent, this helped to get the tent up when it's closed up. But with two 200# lifts, I wouldn't be able to close the lid when the tent was open as the lifts would be too strong.

My setup is like this:
