I bought this switch block off Ebay for $20. from a boat parts retailer.

I will change out some og the switches, I do not need to trim my bow and raise the motor for trailering, but it fits nice!

I like this...on my WK I have the moveable pedals and I am wondering if the red toggle switch could be used for that....would be worth a shot.

Dude.... You have built the XK I have seen in my sleep since they first came out in 06. This thing looks like a beast and from seeing your vids it acts like a beast where it counts.

Keep up the good work and your doing the Commander world proud.

Thanks man! I've done some more work to it I need to update my garage. The biggest change is threw some cutting, welding and removing some hoses I was able to squeeze 33" in with the same lift.

Built, not bought!
Sal, great to see your rig again. I have seen it on jeep forum and love it. Your the reason i went with the MLL's. You have a Very clean and practical build. I'm really surprised that there are not more XK's on this site. Seems like a great starting platform for over-landing. Can't wait to see the new pics!!

Thanks for all the compliments guys. The biggest change since my last update was getting 33" tires stuffed in with just a 2" lift! not a easy thing to do LOL.

Passenger side pic I cut and folded over the pinch weld as well as removed the rear heater lines. So far the AC lines for the rear seem to be out of the way so I left them in for now.

I also had to trim the wheel flare I like the way it turned out I think it looks better now.

On the driver side I had to completely cut the pinch weld out. Folding it over wasn't enough it was rubbing so I cut it out grinded it down ran a bead down the seem just in case and painted it up.

I repainted the black portion with a easier paint to take care of. My wife also hand painted the commander letters for me I love the way it turned out.

Updating my build thread. I sold the 2007 and took a break for almost a year. It took time to find another one with lower miles and all the options I wanted. I learned so much building the first one on what will and won't work. This build will be specifically overland bound from the start. A lot has changed in the XK world over the last few years so I know what lift I need (4") I'm just not decided on how I want to do it yet. My goal is to get 33" or 34" tires on again but without out removing half the Jeep this time. The rear heat and AC lines have to stay so that makes it a minimum 4" lift. This build will be a lot slower because this one I am keeping and won't be settling on parts. I will just wait until I can afford exactly what I wan't. The good news is I don't have to wait for one off parts to be made mostly everything I want is produced now.

2006 XK 5.7L QD2 limited. Just about every option that was available it has. I have a credit with the dealer and the plan right now is to have the interior redone in saddle brown leather.:Wow1: It has grey leather right now in real decent shape.

Thanks man! You're still rocking that CRD I see. Good to see ya again!

CRD is keeping me in the WK....even though I am fighting the urge to buy a JK....a 2 door Rubicon is a nice ride, especially with the manual transmission..
