Side dishes?

I need a side dish for a group outing this weekend. There will be about 20-30 people, but other sides available so it doesn't need to feed all. Any suggestions? TIA!

French cut green beans, thin chopped onions, pour Italian salad dressing over it mix & chill. Eat cold as a salad

With the corn pudding and baked beans you already have a couple classics that work well with tri-tip. Another idea if you want to make ahead is a good pasta salad.

And then a nice fresh berry crisp for dessert. Oh my goodness.....

Grilled Sesame Ginger Green Beans

In a zipper bag mix:
1lb fresh green beans
1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tbsp sesame oil

Mix until beans are coated, remove and place on a hot grill. Cook, rotating often, until the beans begin to char.

Here is another variation on the baked beans:

The cold salad suggestions are good ones, too.
Besides those already mentioned, other popular choices are potato salad, macaroni salad, and coleslaw.
There are tons of recipes for each of these types of salads.

Another suggestion is broccoli salad, which has been a crowd favorite everywhere I've seen it served.

Corn bread or biscuits would be another great addition to the meal.
