Simple dual batteries for expedition vehicles

I use a lot of the BEP stuff on the boats I wire at work. I can vouch for the quality of their componentry.

BTW, nice wiring guys.

Here is some of my lame attempts.

Hi Mick, Good to talk to someone nearby. Thanks for the pics.

G'day whatcharterboat (good username BTW :D )

Next time I am down Noosa way I'll have to call in to your work and check it out. It looks like a very cool operation.

Charterboat, whatcharterboat????

Mick I bet you are the only guy on here who knows what it means.

I wanted to ask what the 2 modules with the data cables coming out of them were in the pic you posted. Are they CAN-bus digital switching modules? If so how are you using them? Any info would be appreciated.

And yes, drop in. Just give me some notice if it's a weekday. Saturdays are more casual.

Regards John

John, I love that ad :D

In the top photo the ones with the data type cables are for the trim tabs. The black box is the control module and the little one above it is the back of the trim tab switch.

The boat I am wiring at the moment is a bit more complicated than that simple one. It is getting a full range of top shelf Raymarine gear. 12" Chartplotter and Sounder, autopilot, camera, DVR, DVD, TV, CD, MP3, etc....

If I do get down there it would only ever be on a Saturday.

My in-laws live at Maroochydore so we get down there on weekends a bit. I'll PM you next time I am down that way.

Cool

Look forward to it. The factory is at Yandina. So only twenty minutes North of your folks place.

I have been wanting to check you guys out for a while now. I first heard of your campers when I went to the Sunshine Coast Boat Show last year. I was working on our stall all weekend and when I did finally get two minutes to myself to have a wander around I found your stall up the back there and I grabbed a business card. Nobody was at the stall so I guess whoever was there was taking a well earned break too.

Boat Show

Was that the Lifestyle Expo at Kawana? We were probably over at your stand wondering why you had knocked off early and left all those boats alone.

Who do you work for anyway?

Can't remember the name of the show but it was mostly boats. I think there was a fishing comp held at the same time and venue.

We had this boat and this boat at the show.

Check out the links in my newly updated sigline. Both sites same business. I am the foreman for both.

Mick

Had a look at your sites. Awesome. You'll slot right in here on ExPo. Look forward to your input. See ya.

BTW Some of the manufacturing that happens in Maryborough is amazing.
