Skamper 060s Dimensions

Hey ya'll,

I've been searching for a pop-up camper for my 2003 Tundra Access Cab (6 ft bed) and am hoping someone here could supply some information. I am eyeing a 1993 Skamper 060s on craigslist but am not sure if it will fit my truck without building a shim. I know that the 060s models were designed for smaller trucks but I also know that the first gen Tundras have shallower beds than a typical full size truck.

Does anyone here have one of these campers and know the dimensions from the bottom of the camper the the underside of the cab-over section, as well as from the bottom of the camper the the underside of the sections that sit above the side walls? It seems like plenty of people have bought these and made them work with their trucks, but no one has posted the actual dimensions. Also - how are these meant to be attached to the truck? Do they typically come with turnbuckles like a FWC?

If you can recommend a different model I should look out for, I'd be interested to hear about it. Trying to stick with something that will be more or less flush with the end of the 6 ft bed. Thanks in advance! Also attaching pics of current setup.

Can you share some of the critical dimensions? Floor width, floor length, height from floor to bedrail, height from bedrail to cabover, and overall width? I have a 2002 F150 crew cab with really stupid bed dimensions, and I'm trying to make a mental list of what might fit.

To put a 072S (which I think is basically a longer 060S) int my F-150 I used thicker pallets and had a layer of 2x4's screwed to the bottom pallets. In my '02 F-150 it worked perfect.

The blocks to the left where to shim the jacks out to clear the wider bed, they are nice even on my Ranger.

And then for my Ranger I have a rubber bed mat and 2x4's.

Thanks, that's helpful. Is it safe to assume the model number corresponds with length? Your 072S is longer than 72" though. Is it 7'-2"?

I really don't know where the number comes from.

My Ranger has a 7' (84") bed, it goes to the back edge of the tail lights which going purely off memory from last July was about 87" The bed is 7' with the tailgate closed... so I think if they are going by feet and inches 073S or the like would be more correct. It is longer than 7'-2"

060S and 072S were intended for compact trucks and the bigger ones were for fullsize trucks though. Here is a copy of the '85 Brochure, truck campers start at page 7:
