Gotta love those mini velodrome tracks. They're a lot of fun. Clearly I must visit Trysil while it's still MTB season :)

Do it! While there you should also pay Rörbäcksnäs a visit if you havn't been there. Awesome single tracks.

Been exploring our neck of the woods on 4 and 2 wheels.

And as always with sand it doesn't look like that big of a deal. 4Lo got us out.

Another poser pic!
Been seeing mpg's around 15 and are usually cruising about 55 mph.
The odo has past 330.000 km (~ 205.000 miles) during the summer and the truck is still chugging along just fine.

OH MAN!!!!! Post 66. That pic of skating on glassy lake ice!! bout made me cry. Man I miss winter.... Stupid California. So cranking hot. Nice average joe build. I like it. No need for million dollar composites and glues. Well done!

Thank you.
I have only spent a week around Truckee once and that part was awesome. It seems like a really beautiful state with a big diversity in the landscape. But I guess you don't get to go iceskating on the lakes that often. :)
I'll post a pic in November when it's pitch black here and snow-mixed rain, then I bet Cali will feel pretty great.

I'm really satisfied with the camper so far. Havn't got down to the exact dimes and pennies of the build but I have spent just south of 2500 dollars on it. It was around 6 months from when I bought the truck to first departure with the camper on. There is still alot to be done and improved but I can get it as we go along and keep on using it in the meantime.

Got a package today.

Tracmats from UK. Half price comparing to Sweden, and considering Brexit, EU and the free trade thingy it's no reason to wait to long. :) Better order before it's "to late".

A quick flex test. This type is an inch thick so they are not bridging ladders which are more heavy duty.

Just met up with some buddies for a 2 day mountainbike trip.

Just as me they are falling in the second category of "making payments or making repairs". Driving a DIY camper converted VW van with half a million km's (312500 miles) on it.

Great weather, great biking and no repairs needed.

Fantastic build and really great to see vehicle getting lots of use!
Thank you!

The stereo in the truck has been working subpar basically the entire time. It doesn't stay tuned in to a radio station/frequency for long. Pulled it to continuity measure the antenna and it's cable.

To my suprise I found two blocks of wood behind the stereo! Why, who, what, when?
Well the antenna and connection/cable was fine.

So I put in a new one which has a nice display and "modern" features like aux/usb/bt instead of just radio and cd like the old one.
Did not put the wood back in.

The backrest of the middle seat can be used as an armrest when the seat is not in use. It comes with 2 storage compartments and the upper one has a broken lid that just has been rattling about when driving. So it's quite useless.

Took the lid off and "went to town" with a drill.

There is always some piece of plywood laying around just waiting to find it's purpose.

And just like that I have a thermos/cupholder.

First off: it's aligned in center, just looks a little off because the camera angle (or otherwise I'm crosseyed).
Second: it's hard to find the exact blue fabric perfectly sun bleeched and stained with dirt since 1998 just like the seats...so I just took what I had laying around and called it good.
I can still acess the lower compartment and store maps or whatnot in there.

Havn't got a good inside pic since the shelves are done. But this gives you atleast an idea of the setup. Added a rod to hang stuff from underneath the smaller shelf.

Got some more use out of it this Friday and Saturday but yesterday we stuck on home soil/water. Mainly cause it's pretty nice around here too.

The truck has been a little hesitant to start lately, even with a fully charged battery.
392778df27e5387bcf402dc401ba2d9b.jpg

Found out that I have a leak. Usually the fuelpressure should be around 60-66 psi. And since the injectors need atleast 50 when cranking I asume the leak and loss of pressure is why the truck has been hesitant.

The fix and the tools of the trade.
8d73855789a8d89cd4a98ee320066b2c.jpg

Cut the hose and a section of the rusty pipe. Got it back together using a fuel hose and clamps. The leak was tucked up between the tank and the frame. Kind of hard to cram your hands in there but for beeing a cheap fix it's ok to get a little dirty and scuffed up.
456eba2d5ae20e9e9cca9cb8a29bb310.jpg

Cranked the motor and it fired right up. As you can tell it's just a waiting game until the next rusty pipe takes a dive. Since I was already crawling around under the truck I changed the motor oil too. Found out that my new oil filter and skid plates are the exact same colour. So apparently the skid plates are AC Delco-blue.
