Here are some recent modifications I have made lately, along with my latest camping trip in the desert. I made my own version of the Yakima Spare Tire holder, also I purchased some water cans from U.S. Calvery . They fit perfectly into my Fuel can mount.

I love the trailer, of course. You did great work and so quick. That canvas palace is awesome, what's the setup time on it?

It take's about an hour to get everything completed. I only use it for trips longer then 4 days.

I have some new trailer upgrades, so I thought I should post them. I wanted a Axe & Shovel Mount, but the only one I found that I really liked was made by Garvin Industries. The only problem is that it wasn't designed to work with my Yakima cargo rack, so I decided to build my own version and adapt it to work with my Yakima Mega Load Warrior.

This is the one that Garvin Industries makes. Notice the square rack tubing, Yakima uses round tubing and is positioned different.

I recently added new shocks to the trailer. I felt that the original pair I was using wasn't cutting it. So I switched to a set of [ame=""]Monroe Sensa-Trac[/ame] Load Adjusting Shock Absorbers # 58486

These are the original ones I used: Black Diamonds

Nice addition with the shovel mount Tom,.... Some fine craftmanship there. Don't the "little" parts take forever to fabricate....haha

I tell you what man, I am a welder and a machinist, I see a lot of builds people do and usually, im just not impressed.

Your build here however, that is some mighty fine work, I know guys making a living doing welding who could not have pulled it off.

Thanks guys. I can't just leave it alone, I seem to always want to add more goodies to the trailer. Yeah, the small parts do take the most time, but it's all fun. I plan to add brakes in a few weeks as well. CD your trailer is coming along very nicely also.

X2 on that Tom

How much of a ride difference was there and did it add additional lift?

I was considering installing airbags on my M416, but this may be a much easier out.

Thanks, Pat
