WOW, looks awesome. I am going to have to go back and read again. Did you happen to give the final overall dimensions? I am also building a trailer and am planning on building my own boxes. Do you have some other photos of the way you did the seals? I really want to get mine waterproof.

I used this Edge-Grip Rubber Seal pictured below. It is part #1120A211 in the McMaster-Carr catalog. The bulb (rubber) is 3/8" before compression, so if you build your box like mine set your strap metal (1-1/2"x 1/8" steel strap) a extra 1/8" back from the 1"x 1"x .063 square tubing and NOT welded directly to it. This will keep your door from sticking out when closed.

I'll post more door pictures when I get a chance. BTW, this weather strip is $1.43 a foot.

Ive been waiting on you to kind of 'finish' posting your pictures before replying.

This it truly an awesome build man, seriously. Nice attention to details. Makes me smile when project of this caliber comes to fruition. Nicely done sir.

On a side note, I absolutely love the jerry can holder idea with the rollers, makes perfect sense. Do you have any concerns about fuel getting siphoned out of the cans when you arent around? I know the cans cant be stolen with the cable, but the fuel still could. Just thinking about it when i saw the set-up.

Again, its a beautiful trailer, and definitely something to be proud of.

Thanks Stump. I considered that with the Jerry Cans and will probably be covering the whole Jerry Can rack with a vinyl cover or something. You know like they put on tires that are mounted to the back of Fj's. And lock that up as well. I will probably be using the rack for water most of the time with different cans that I have (for water).

That'll probably work just fine. Out of sight, out of mind. I guess the bottom line is if someone really wants it, they can get it regardless of how good the security features are. Awesome work man!

Yeah, the gate has been open all year. I think it was like two years before anyone could use Maple Springs because of the Arroyo Toad's breading cycle.

Here are a few pictures of my trip to the desert (Calico Mountains) for a over nighter.
