Both my sets arrived complete. They are installed on the Rubicon but I'm going to redo the wiring...it looks like an amateur (me!) installed it. Anyone have any suggestions for a clean looking wiring install of these lights? I'm putting them on the roof rack, on the forward bar of my Congo Cage. Any suggestions are welcome!

Both sets arrived yesterday in great condition. I was super to happy to find that they are the German built lamps with the covers I prefer. I only have plans to mount one set for now. At this price I didn't mind shleving a pair for a later project.

Darn, if I only would have seen this last week. I just got two sets from walmart ($60/set)...would have saved me some mula. However I do like the new wiring configuration of the Hella (plug & play. The old ones I got about a year ago, you had to wire everything up yourself.

got mine

Got mine... great price.
Wiring question. On the supplied switch, if I just leave the green wire off, the lights will always turn on/off with the switch... correct? The green wire just ties into the high beam 12v, I assume to turn them off when I switch to high beams.... really don't want to hack into my Taco's wiring. Thanks

I believe you will need to supply 12 volts to that wire. The high beam is what activates power to the switch. Basically on the switch you need power from somewhere in a ground for the light to work and power out to the relay.

I used an "add a circuit" to bring power from a empty fuse spot on the fuse block. That way I did not have to touch the factory wiring. I can find a link if you need one.

Thanks......... RocKrawler!

I saw the $29 deal. Then the price jump. As I type, they are back down to $39 plus shipping.

I've always liked these lights. But I never knew how I could mount them and make them look good on my style truck. I'm also worried about blocking airflow to my radiator.

I have also noticed that our long lost friend "BostonMangler" has previously mentioned that we do not need these lights if we do ....."the mod"....! To our stock lights.

Anyone with a Toyota 1st gen 4Runner or truck post up pics of how you mounted them...please!:coffee:

I would like to see it. (I'm talking on a small stock Toyota chrome bumper!)
