I have a Mantec snorkel and was curious what others had done to seal up the truck. I.e. the holes at the bottom of the air box and ECU.
Is the secret epoxy that stuff that you simply spray over the ECU? I think it was shown on Dweb a while ago and originally used for cleaning guns.timmy!!!!!!! said:silicon is your friend in both cases but Lucky 8 does some sort of super secret epoxy over an ECU to protect it from water.
I'm guessing you haven't had trouble with the silicon melting?Crookthumb said:I used black silicon for the air box.

hmm...well you can do it now and look again in the summer when it's hot. although i'm wearing flip flops down here in auburn right now, where you live and drive should be colder until march or april. you'll be fine with some black silicone in there.jeff_wright said:Good point. I guess it is always sucking in cooler air. I was just thinking it would melt after I had a P.A. speaker melt on me.
