Snow Peak Addiction

Here is the grate I can have made. I have sold about 10 over the years. Helps to increase airflow in the BBQ box. PM if interested.

Where did things land with the propane adapter? Is that something that is being made/sold? Or is it more of a custom job? I am sure I could make one to suit our needs but was just curious if there was something readily available.

Same goes for the Single BBQ charcoal grate; is that something best done at home such as drilling holes OR is there now a screen/grate folks are commonly turning to that solves the airflow issue? I apologize if this information is already well known but haven't found anything on the snowpeak or overland gourmet websites and a google search lead me directly to EP.

The main reason I have stayed away from snowpeak stoves in the past was the inability to run them on LP compared to something like a Partner Steel or Coleman camp stove. Apparently I wasn't doing my due diligence when I gave up on the snowpeak camping stoves like the Baja Burner bc it sounds like people have been running them on LP for a while. In which case, if it will will run just as effectively on LP as it will on the canister gas than that changes things big time.

I am about to order an IGT setup for my personal use and am getting super excited. The Baja Burner would be a nice addition to complete the package and wouldn't have to deal with the HEAVY partner steel. We only have a handful of SP items now and can easily see ourselves converting as much as possible. We love high quality!

The Baja Burners are scheduled to arrive in May. We really apologize for the major delay but we hope to have soon. As it's already mentioned EE is a great place to buy the adapter for the conversion from Lindal valve to bulk propane.

Tramezzino GR-009

also posted this over in my snow peak tweaks thread but it fits the addiction thread :)

sadly noticed the price really jumped on these :(
was debating about picking up a 2nd one ? but not at the current price even when they were $74.99 they were a stretch ! but they are really nice :)

but the one thing I like about them over the regular pie irons we also have is the weight and the size when packed up with the folding handles !

Coleman in Japan has these really cool pie irons that have handles that screw out ! but cant get them here ? but still like the Snow Peak ones better :)

anyway they do a very nice job just over the burner of the stove and cook very even and clean up is a cinch ! and no rusting or keeping the seasoning in check etc.. so for convenience they are very nice comparing taste and crunch to our regular irons I cant tell the difference :)

made some spaghetti meatball sandwiches for the kids lunch :)

Jeremy, the cot is nice, but high dollar. You might look at the ThermaRest Cots. Their pricey as well, but at half the price of the Snow Peak.

for cots I would imagine they are very nice and comfy just $$
would like to try them out though

for us we had those bunk cots by disc-o very comfy but to huge and heavy
then we got the roll a cot very comfy and nice height but the kids kept flipping them ! cause of no support on the end and the weight and pack size was OK but the flipping became a game :)
so then we got the alps small cots low to the ground and super small pack size and fairly light compared to others but the pack size was the huge difference where 4 of them fit in the size of one normal cot !
downside like most small things a touch more setup

if I was only buying one or two I might look at the snow peak but buying 4 makes it expensive :) and having the family on all the same things solves the " I WANT THAT ONE" arguments :) so I tend to buy 4 of the same thing a lot :)

I'll bring a few cots to expo for you all to check out.

Also Honu you asked about the long benches. We've discontinued the current style and will have a revised addition later in June or July.

You better have some Baja Burners as well at Expo.

My wife and I are vacationing on the coast and decided to visit the store in the big city yesterday. Wasn't planning on buying anything but ended up walking out with the IGT 2 unit frame, sitting legs, stainless tray set and the IGT regular bamboo table for my birthday! I'm in deep now.....

Not hard to do that.....difficult to just take a shallow dip when the voices are telling you to "DIVE, DIVE, DIVE"
