Well, I don't speak Japanese either, but 99% of the world speaks English. It's always worth a shot. If you never try, you will never succeed.

I sent the guy an email a couple of months ago, but never got a reply. I am progressing with my Japanese language course, so might get brave enough at some point to give him a call. If he is willing to ship some stuff, I am definately in for one of the baskets and a set of the stainless covers and 'drawers'

I posted some of these images over on the "frustrated" thread, though, thought this might be a better home for them. For anyone up for a pilgrimage to Snow Peak's factory and Company store here is what awaits you.

Snow Peak's headquarters is located about 12 km from Sanjo-city in Niigata prefecture. I arrived on a Saturday. There were a number of campers staying on the grounds.

If you make it all the way to Sanjo, I highly recommend hoping on a ferry headed to Sado Island in the town of Niigata.

What a cool trip!
Look at all that cool stuff in their headquarters. I do wonder how much area the Japanese have to camp in Japan.

I cruised a bunch of japanese blogs about camping some areas seem to be quite full and close but tons of nature all around ?

Strange for sure :)

Good to know. I'm sure it exists just no clue as to how much since I've never been there and we have such a greater landmass so of course being a silly American I can only compare to what I know.

And I only know what I saw from the blogs :) hahahahah so were both kinda scratching heads :)

Some areas were really nice looking ! Also some setups not sure how they get all the stuff in such small vehicles :)

FYI, visited the Snow Peak store in Portland on Saturday. A very cool space! Highly recommended if you're in the Portland area.

Guess visiting friends in Oregon and Washington would be in order when the day comes that I get a FWC although I wouldn't mind getting up there sooner. Not this summer, maybe next. Would have to check out the Snow Peak store on that trip.
