Snow Peak Addiction

have one what were ya curious about ?

debating about selling it ? mainly the way we have the new river rafting panty thing we got our setup has changed again ? but its kinda handy for breads and things the wire is a bit thin to support heavy pans and such IMHO anyway aluminum ones would be OK

so for us its more a pantry setup we used inside our tent some had thought about also using it to store the lids and stuff when cooking but also wanted a side thing like a few posts above or something ?

packs pretty flat and gives some storage for foods etc..

Thanks Honu. I knew you would come through!! :) You are the guru of all things SP. They should sponsor you or something. I thought it looked likeit wouldn't support cast iron lol. Does look real handy though. Let me know if you decide to unload it? Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Broke in my Snow Peak gear over the weekend. The addiction spreads quickly as I initially intended only to purchase the Baja burner. I ordered the wind screen last minute and it turned out to be a necessity.

Until I order the BBQ box, the Esbit folding BBQ actually works fairly well here.

I ordered a Kovea adapter for the option to use 1lb cylinders. Here's my simply solution for using them in the IGT. It's a small carpenters pouch from Home Depot that holds the propane cylinder perfectly.

The large one also holds my 5lb cylinder perfectly. Makes for easier storage/transport.

That's pretty genius! Is that the regular size windscreen? I need to get that. I have the 3 unit IGT, too. I warned you about the addiction! ! :) the spork did me in. I'm pretty much done with my setup. Once Honu sells me his hanging shelf and I get the windscreen. .. :)
Well maybe the coffee pot..... and the kebab atachment for the BBQ box..... and maybe a few more plates.... ooh! And then there's....... lol:p

It's probably a good thing that a lot of the items I wanted were not available. Snow Peak was offering free shipping over 75 and Equipt1 had 10% off so between the two I was able to assemble a nice starting point. The wind screen is only found by searching and shows up without an image. I was worried it might soon be discontinued. It's the CK-141 found here. I scored the free ship at the time by picking that up and some flatware. Now I want more...

It was breezy enough that if the table wasn't properly positioned the wind kept blowing out the burner. The screens also do wonders at keeping things from falling off the table.

Thanks. I still can't find it on their website. Your link too me there with no problem though. Yeah I got a few things with the free shipping too. I wish I could have added that at the time. Oh well. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

The spork never caught on with me, but I haven't tried the Snow Peak version. I guess I always found it easier to simply keep a spoon, knife and a fork. The cutlery set looks pretty nice, but I'm not into the weight saving thing enough to ever justify the titanium premium. The wood handled party utensils on the other hand are awesome.

I started simple. I got the 3 PC set too. After years of carrying around and old MRE spoon (picked up that habit years ago from an old crusty SgtMaj) one cannot go wrong with the spork. lol Depends on the mission, I suppose. I've always been a huge fan of titanium anything, not so much for the weight but overall durability and toughness. That and I'm not a huge fan of rust. I HATE RUST hence my current geographic dilemma...

I'm eyeballing the the wooden handled flatware... Just in case I ever have dinner guests while I'm out... Hell hath no fury like a spouse with missing kitchen utensils!! :violent-smiley-031:
