Sold my NAS Defender 110 for a 2014 Jeep Rubicon

I was working on my NAS 110 and the same thing happened to my iphone 5. Of course, the screen smashed and I was out $225, but in the scope of rover ownership that is a rounding error.

I have been so temped by the JKUR, but have just not pulled the trigger yet (my current excuse is I don't like any of the color options), but if I do get one, it will be in addition to my defenders (I have an NAS 90) as a replacement for my 95 LWB range rover.

Great looking Defender but you are going to love the JK Rubicon.

Well here is the Bright White with a Chaser, just to give you an idea. I have had several Wranglers and the only regret I have on this Jeep is the colored fenders. They show all the flaws. Enjoy the Jeep!

I saw a billet JKUR in Portland back in august. Awesome color! I love looking at Defenders, but I'm not sure about owning one!

Gear,

That's a nice setup! Off topic....What kind of MPGs do you get with your set up? Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. I love the design, and the rugged look they have. And while I hate the lines on a JK (compared to the defender, WK, WJ, etc), I wouldn't trade my JK for the world - especially when you hear about reliability issues on them.

Usually around 10 mpg realistically.

Ouch. My JK loaded down (bumpers, winch, heavy 33s) with my trailer still gets between 15-17.5 MPG (depends on the terrain).

Edit, oh and to the OP. Gorgeous looking Defender!

Wow, what a great looking Defender. Couldn't you have pulled all the stock wiring and running gear and installed a crate Chevy V-8 and a reliable drivetrain or something similar? It would have been hard for me to give that up! Awesome rig!

When you buy the Jeep make sure to get the million mile warranty!

Can you clarify what warranty this is? I will have the AEV JK350 set up.

Okay one last photo and then we need to say goodbye. I just got confirmation that the truck arrived safely to it's new home.

That Defender is just ************..no other way to put it. But at the same time..so is JK! Please do post pics when you get yours and a build thread once you get going 👍 I have a feeling it is going to be a nice one.

Cheers!

Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep offers a 1 million mile extended warranty for 3K dollars. The paperwork actually states 999 months or 999,999 miles. A good friend told me about the warranty and I asked about during the purchase of my 2013 Jeep Sahara MOAB. Best money I've ever spent. It includes a rental, if my Jeep ever breaks down. They do not advertise this warranty. You have to ask them about it, they will not offer it to you. Depending on the dealer, they may even tell you it's not available. Trust me, it is available! There is a $100 deductible if there is an issue but it is only collected once a year, not for each issue. Nice!

I plan to keep my Jeep stock, with the only additions being a winch in my stock AEV winch bumper, AEV water tanks for my AEV rear bumper, an AEV tire carrier, AEV snorkel, AEV corner guards, stock Jeep Rubicon tires and a Gobi roof rack. None of this will effect my warranty. I also plan to add a CouplerTec rustproofing system, so it doesn't rust out from under me like my TJ did at 140K miles.
