It ended up getting parted, the 4.6 was built incorrectly (top hat liners not installed properly) and the rust free bodyshell and chassis ended up in Glens Falls NY. Not sure whats happened to it since then, that was about 4 years ago.

This truck will go in for Waxoyl on Tuesday of next week, I will post plenty of photos before and after.

I look forward to this. I'm picking-up a rust-free RRC that will need the same treatment...

What sort of headlights are you running I find the lights on my 96 D1 are terrible and wonder if you are running a different bulb? any recommendations?

I assume getting the harness and bulbs would make a difference?

My D1 has the ARB harness, it is a decent improvement over the stock based off my previous trucks-not sure it's worth the cost compared to the link you pushed though. That might be worth trying out.
