Starting my Service Utility (fiberglass) Trailer

I've been after one of these for a while. I've and a steel one sitting in my garage for 2 years, but its so heavy and has a lot more rust issues than I really want to deal with, so I'm just gonna sell it. I came across this fiberglass/aluminum one for a steal, but its on a repurposed wire reel trailer that is super heavy and not really what I'm looking for in a frame, so its gotta go. The underside is 4'x8', so pretty standard to build a ladder type frame from what I have read. Someone pried open all the locking doors, so first thing I'm going to replace all the latches and have them all keyed alike. Im going to put slide out drawers in the bottom, or perhaps a pull out bed, as its a little deep. I would like to connect the front two opposite doors for a full width pass through, depends on how motivated I am to get into fiberglass work, lol.

On that note, anybody in the North Houston/Tomball area that likes to weld or knows of a shop that can put together a frame? My welding skills are non existent, and I need to get the body onto a new trailer and get it rolling. HOA are b**tholes lol. Thanks yall...

Backside. Probably gonna get rid of the steel bumper and just integrate it into the frame. Need ideas for a tailgate, it has a couple of vertical slides for a gate type insert I guess...

I like it, lots of cool potential. You could put fishing rods in the conduit tube, can't tell if the existing rack is level front to back? I thinks slides in the bed and RTT on rails would be cool.

Thats what I plan on doing with them. The racks arent level, one angle upward. Im going to pull them off tomorrow and clean it all up, and im going to bed line it this week. There are a few spots in the fiberglass that need patched up a bit too....

So anybody have a hook up in the Tomball or Houston area that might be interested in building a trailer? The guy that was supposed to build mine flaked and isn't answering calls now.

It's been a while since I updated this. I finally got a trailer for the service body and mounted it. Installed a few goodies as well. Bed rack, awning, lights, some electrical, a fishing pole holder and a temporary storage box for soft goods. Currently working out the water system and final electrical.

I Raptor lined it in a color close to my tow vehicle, and I'm waiting on some matching rims.
