Are sunrises cheating?

The first photo was taken from the third of four boats I took up the Amazon River from Macapa to Iquitos over several weeks. It is especially memorable as it was the dawn of my 33rd birthday.

This second photo was taken on a brisk -17*C (~0*F) morning on the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. The silhouette is of some rapidly corroding vehicle parts and a disintegrating flag.

Thanks Brad, I liked that since the Lexan windshield is tinted, it allowed the overexposed sunset to show.

Took me about 4 tries to get the exposure right and the Captain kept looking at the sunset asking why I was taking so many photos of the same thing...LOL When I showed him the finished shot, he said "Oh man, I didnt know you were including me in the shot!"

Another reason I love the really wide angle lenses. Most dont even know they're in the image and you can stand beside them and take a shot with them acting natural without the typical goofy pose
