it`s a laplander from the norwegian army.

it has got a removable fiberglas top
1.8 l engine
it does about 12 miles to the gallon and with norwegian petrol prices(8$ gallon) it is just to expesive to drive so i`m trying to sell it!

Thats a pretty serious change of venue. I'd be thrilled with 12 miles per galllon, although, the 8$ (US?) would be a little hard to stomach.

I think you should build the laplander, and then tour the US.:)

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
Wonderful regardless of the mileage in my opinion. I would buy it in a heartbeat if I could afford to - importing would be terribly difficult. If I can dig up a picture I will post it- I drove a in imported Laplander for some time in 2002, it was an awesome vehicle and is almost my dream van. I have a soft spot for Volvos so military versions are particularly awesome. It would also be a great candidate for a diesel swap as well.

I wold agree with you if it wasn`t for strict norwegian rules for modifying cars.
If i cold i wold change the engine for a new diesel, that wold make it the perfekt 4x4 but it wold newer pas the inspection.

(sorry if my english is a bit dificult to understand.:))

Your English is just fine but our Norwegian is not so good...Uff Daa

Tak, I was going to post this as well.

Lasse, where are you located in Norway - Oslo or elsewhere? Some of my best friends are from Oslo/Stavagner and while the petrol/gasoline is expensive, every picture I have seen of the place looks stunning.

Back on topic though, enjoy the new rig!
