Well, good news and bad news on the exhaust re-route front.
Good news: Punks in Vancouver, WA is awesome! The exhaust looks great and meets every dimensional spec I gave them.
Bad news: I didn't even think to ask what kind of collector they were going to use. The collector they used splits the flow right down the middle which means that you need to offset a pipe somewhere. They offset the pipe coming from the cat on the passenger side instead of offsetting the pipe going into the factory muffler. I would have done the same thing! However, that offsets the pipe coming out of the passenger side cat right up against the wall of my relentless transfer case skid. It will rattle like a mutha'! Didn't even think about that when giving the shop my specs but noticed it would likely be a problem as soon as I looked under the truck. I sent an email to Kasey (guy who did my exhaust) within diagrams of what the problem is and what I'd like him to do for me to fix it. It'll cost more money but it'll be a TON easier than modding the skid plate to work. Trust me.
With tax, this crossover work cost me $184. I feel really good about that. My guess is that I'll be paying another $184 to have it redone. Boo-hoo...live and learn.
