Looks like a great weekend! Daisy is super fun. Which section did you finish on? Behind the gate onto the 40? Or on the dirt road that leads to the gate by the 40?

Excellent pics too! Look like you had better weather than us up in Calgary too!

Started at the trail head that is just north of the creek crossing above racehorse and came out at the trappers cabin. I'll have to get some info on some of the other sections of like to check it out

So finally found some 1/2 wheel spacers to give me a touch more offset more for looks than anything.

And as I was doing the swap tossed one of my 255/85s on the tent trailer and it fit and looks amazing. So now I have to find another 3 Bradley V wheels. I think the best part of this is really the spare tire for the truck is identical to the spare for the trailer which is good peace of mind. Shows how heavy duty the off-road trailers are with an upgraded axle and 6x5.5 bolt pattern.

Then started modifying my rtt rack to be used taller for hauling kayaks and looking at building a rack at bed height for action packers, just fitting it up first pretty much just sleeving the 1 1/4 tubing into 1 1/2, easy mod.

Also kind of disappointing my right inner tie rod end on my 1 year old safari ltd powersteering rack pretty much completely gave up. Talking with Colin and well see if they honor the warranty on that. The thing is banging around in there pretty bad

I was gonna buy f5's found these they are Jdm landcruiser rims which is why they're so skinny. Took it for a first drive tonight and instantly the steering is waaaaaay lighter, rides smoother, and tracks down the road better. Very impressed with the ice traction and manners. Definitely picks the truck up and feels like a nice size. Just having trouble finding matching size second hand spare...

Do you mind sharing where you got your wheels?

I bought them off of a jdm bj73 landcruiser they're called a Bradley V wheel. I wanted a skinny rim to run the 255's these rims are 6.5" wide

Thanks! I love the wheels. Your tundra isn't too bad either, haha.

Top notch service from Safari Ltd, they got back to me on the faulty inner tie rod ends and they are gonna send me out a new pair under warranty. Really good guys to deal with

Thanks for the review. I'll be doing my rack sooner than later and I'm basically sold on going with a Safari Ltd replacement. Icing on the cake is the good customer service!

After having some miles on the 255 85 st maxx how do they compare to the durtracs? Especially in the snow. I have duratrac on my work truck and have been impressed with performance in both deep and hard packed snow wondering how the maxx compares especially on a tundra.

St maxx are definately wearing better than the duratracs but they definately don't hook up on the ice the same. I'm gonna go studded St maxx for winter next year and then run normal ones in the summer I think. Tire choice for me was dictated by size if 255\85 came in a ko2 I would prefer that as I'm running them on my sequoia and they are impressive

Your tube work is impressive.
Thanks for the props, it is a lot of work but also very fun..for reference I have over 60 hours into just the rear bumper and 20+ on the sliders. Measure, cut, bend, measure, fit, cut, fit, cut, fit, repeat!! For a rookie like me at least bit its definately worth the effort

So my rear leaf springs are shot and the 2.0 icons I was running in the rear puked their guts out so getting ready to set up the rear suspension. I tow quite a bit with this thing still so I'm gonna order alcan leaf pack built with an extra 600lb payload and thinking I'm gonna try the fox shocks that rickashay is running only I'm gonna put a boot on them as my last ones the shaft got chewed up on gravel. At the same time ordering a u bolt flip kit so well see how that goes.

I've always noticed on my SAW coilovers that as the weather gets colder below -10'c the front suspension gets very harsh over small bumps as in tar snakes and bumps in the highway and its. Starting to drive me crazy seeing what the rest of you make out with coilovers in the winter because if I could get a better ride from another coilovers I would swap in a heartbeat

How difficult was it to fit the sahara bar to the double cab? ARB lists it as needing modification to fit, just curious what was actually involved.
