Ordered a set of alcan leaf springs with 2" lift and +600# load rating and rubber bushings as I've seen guys pound out the poly bushings in the cold. Low canadian dollar is a harsh pill but what are ya gonna do. Also ordered marlin u bolt flip and can't decide if I should order shocks as well or wait to get the springs in then measure compressed and drooped lengths to pick the right lengths

Did you order straight from Alcan? Do they already have this setup off the shelf or is it the first time they have built these? I might be willing to jump also... excited to see hear more.

Talked to Bill at alcan today they do them 100% custom tailored my dad has a set in his tundra for the last 2 years and they're awesome, just poly bushings suck in the cold, if ur ready order a set too and we can save some shipping and I'm going south of the border to get them anyway

Awesome build! I picked up a 06 double cab a few months ago and have been eyeing the 255 coopers. They look great on your truck. Are you running aftermarket skids? I might have missed it.

I will definately be buying the coopers again, excellent tires. Skids are currently stock but I've been stockpiling some parts to build a new tcase cross member and skids but haven't gotten there yet

So haven't been posting in a while as I've been bogged down with house repairs and rebuilding a trailer which turned out to be way more work than anticipated

Finally getting around to installing the alcans. My leafs were failing right behind the front eyelet and were just worn out. I like the military wrap on the alcans abd very beefy contact pads. I went with the rubber eyelet bushings over the poly as alcan said the poly is getting pounded out in cold weather

Comparison worn out addaleaf with overload and the new leafs, within 1/4" before break in which is perfect. Alcans are different springs left to right because of the fuel tank load which is real nice.

U bolt flip kit and the new leafs look rather sexy, gonna add bumps once I decide shock length

Also while it's apart gonna por15 everything and attempting based on an 80 series thread to delete the lspv for a manually adjustable one
This is as far as I am so far but glad to get rid of this pos

I'll put some more detail as I go with the lspv but should help with some braking problems

And it's nice to see the lots of tundras coming on board on this forum that's for sure good ideas all around

I was considering an ALCAN pack for mine. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to have them made?
