Hmm I was under the impression the spring rate was 575 for dc as well, my brother is a Toyota tech, I'll get him to pull part numbers tomorrow and see if there is a difference. The frustrating thing is that companies that sell these coilovers sell the same coils for AC and DC

So got out at tested out the coopers today, they seem to clean quite well and are really good at holding a line on side hills, but stuck is still stuck!

Also camped with a rtt the last 5 years and still think that's the best way to camp... Or so I thought until we tried it with our 1 year old. Really hard to get a good nights sleep with the kiddies. With 2 kids now I accepted the rtt camping would have to resume once they were older. So started looking at ideas and decided on an Starcraft 11RT pop up. Went with this because a lot of the Frame and components seem very beefy and should fit the bill. Lots of ground clearance and beefy frame. Already tore most of it apart and am sealing it up as much as possible to prevent problems with dust but because it sits so high it seems like the dust from the truck goes underneath, so we'll see how it pans out. Don't see too many guys running tent trailers so I figure I'll give it a shot...as soon as it's feasible I'll be going to dual Rtts on the truck for the kids

I noticed a picture in the beginning of this thread you had surf board strapped on top of your RTT. How well did that work for you? The wife and myself both paddle board, looking to get a RTT and trying to figure out how to mount it all.

Did a whole trip back from Cali like that and just strapped it down on the tent with some pool noodles at either end of the tent and had no problem at all, I have no idea how to surf but I figured it was a good souvenir and looked cool on the way home :)

So got sick of the hoops on the bumper as they were one of my first projects so knocked them off and gave the bumper a quick coat of paint for the summer and had a good kijiji find so finally putting a winch in, been looking for one of these for a while

So stared installing the winch and everything lined up so far, I had moved the bumper in about 9" from stock so I'm gonna have to move one AC line that's too close but other than that everything is fitting well. The winch with steel cable was only 61lbs so I'm not concerned at all with weight. So gotta line everything up and wire it and I'm good to go

Looks better without the hoops. Love your tent trailer. The space in front of it is nice.

Ya, those hoops were my first attempt at tube bending. Gonna build a new set this winter so we'll see how it goes. Got the winch finished up, didn't have room for the solenoids on the bumper so remote mounted it. Just got loaded up, heading out to the hills for a weekend of wheelin well see how she does
