Time will tell. I think the body of this shock will be substantially stronger than the Rancho.

Definitely heavier-duty than the Ranchos, but also more vulnerable due to their increased protrusion. It would be disappointing to damage such expensive shocks; I would want some additional protection for such an investment.

I have the same concerns about the reservoirs. I know that Teraflex has a reason but I think it's a poor design.

Maybe a fix is as simple as swapping the bar pin to the bottom mounting hole and then mounting the shocks upside down... which would be right side up in my opinion, lol

Hahahahaha !!! Got them on Tuesday !! And installed them late Tuesday night!!! Have a lift in the barn with great lighting !!! Nooooo this barn does not allow COWS �� . Anyway drove these all around on Wednesday and Thursday. They are at first impression very very much....hmmmmm WAY BETTER THEN MY FOX !!! I thought to myself ...self do you really think there will be a difference ??? You bet !!! They ride and handle so much better around town !!! My jeep is always loaded, so I can go anytime !!! Then I did go. Currently at north shore. I spent most the day wheeling some fun trails with a few fun parts!! They are so far as advertised !!
Tomorrow going to play with different settings . Thanks again for the review!! You should get a commission from the company ! I just ordered two more sets !! Lol ..one for my other JKU and another for a buddy of mine. He has a 2014 JKU and a birthday next Monday .

Now this is a quality review, these are definitly on ym list but this review may have swayed me from the 3.1 to the 3.3... I hope these work well with my OME 4" springs and the Teraflex SpeedBumps... All i can say, is after 10+ years of using OME, i can say their shocks are no longer the super plush amazing shocks they used to be...

I'm looking forward to opinions on the different settings. I've played around with mine a bit the last few weeks and settled on 2.6 while loaded. Then softening up the rear when the top is off and unloaded.

I have a couple of thousand miles on these so far and they still make me smile when I drive my Jeep One of the best purchases I've made.

I meant in 10 years of buying OME shocks, these latest "Sports" are some stiff shocks... I only installed these 6 months ago.

how does level 1 compare with 2.1? I assume the order is 1, 2.1-2.8, 3. I am excited to order these bad buys, but they're currently back ordered :-/
