Recovery gear; a tree strap in each, hard shackle(s), soft shackle, and a snatch block. I have learned over the years that adequate recovery gear is most often for other's sake vice my own, but that it pays to be prepared and many times you don't want to (or can't) open the rear door where many folks stow their stuff. So I keep basic rigging for my winch up there where either I or a passenger can get to it. My oldest is quite good at climbing out the window onto the roof to go rig for winching.
This is what I mean by sometimes you just don't want to open the back door (ironically in this case there was nowhere to winch too in front so I'm getting a kinetic rope out b/c nobody else had one of those handy).

Do you guys with the polymax flooring have any advice on attaching some front runner jerry can holders? I have two of those that I want to install. I still need mounts for maxtracks on the front of my rack also.
I am going to put some quick fist clamps on one side for my huge tent pole bag.
So far I just have my EO2 mounts for my 1730 Pelicans.

Just spent a little time on one of the jerry mounts. Found a solution that I think will work pretty well. I used some hose clamps with rubber covers and some bolts with lock nuts. (Found it strange that the ones that came from frontrunner where not lock nuts, just regular type).

True, but in my case I just tow my 7k pound boat+trailer on good roads. No offroading with the boat.
I don't have the bumper yet, but its on my mod list.

I like what you did there! I ended up cutting tiny cross sections out of the rack flooring to fit the double jerry can mount. It bolts through to plates that clamp the mount to the bars. The only way for it to line up correctly was to cut the flooring... I'll see if I have any pics lying around.
May need to start ordering more panels as spares.

Thanks!... and... soon! Brakes and spark plugs coming up, after seat covers maxtrax are definitely on the short list.

I decided not to cut out areas for those mounts. I think the flooring is more than strong enough. (Guess we will see). I do plan on adding some more secure mounting for the flooring around that area since the flooring now carries some lateral dynamic load. I did however mount my EO2 mounts to the rack. They have to hold the huge 1730 cases. (I normally only put light things in the cases, but they can hold quite a bit.)
I looked back at your rack photo. Looks like yours has no bottom and is bolted through the flooring. I like that better. I assume mine will hold water in rain. Probably end up drilling holes in them at some point, otherwise I think they will rust like mad.
Where did you cut in the flooring? can't even tell. I can see flooring in the middle of your jerry can holders.

It is quite versatile. Strong but cuts very easily to size. Nice material to work with.
