I'm not an American, and I'm from a small country. We don't have much of a car industry here (to put it lightly). Not necessarily disagreeing with you.
That would explain allot. I give you a pass in that you likely have no idea how much influence, money and power it takes to to create a Global Company in today’s world. Its actually impossible to create a company even a small one without assistance from the Government. He’ll a good friend designing computer accessories had to get the assistance of several US Agencies to stop knockoffs illegally being shipped into two of his largest markets. Eventually he closed up shop given he couldn’t afford to continue fighting with the Chinese that kept undercutting his real stuff with cheap knockoffs.

On the scale of Tesla, Ford, GM, Google, Cisco, Oracle, Facebook, etc it is literally a game of international spy games. To protect US technology.

If your from a small country this level of business complexity is hard to understand. California runs between being the 4th and 8th single largest economy in the “World”. Thats also why its looked at as the place to build your idea. There are resources, money and influence that can help protect your idea till you make it work.

Global Business is more than just selling stuff. Its getting GOV level help combating Corporate theft.

Stationary $$$’s definitely better than that darn, tricky moving money...

Dad would do the opposite and braze quarters to concrete nails. I enjoyed watching my friends try to peel them off the basketball court.

You think Mercedes hasn’t received US gov money? Really?

With your logic no GOV business loans should ever be issued to the highest failure rate businesses. Any guesses what those are?

Ma and PA Restaurants
Those small business loan failures make Tesla look like a hiccup in a kids Lemon aid stand budget.

So its ok to continue to provide a foreign held company tax credits talking decades worth both state and Federal. Mercedes is being out sold 3 to 1 by a new American company that your bent up about because they have legally borrowed money and legally secured State and Federal funding. Just like a foreign held Mercedes has?

Really the question should be. Why do live here in the US? What do you contribute? Besides unbalanced criticism of American Companies using all the financial tools legally made available to them so they can grow and succeed and yes become profitable.

Will Tesla be bought? Probably Elan has repeatedly said he never wanted to make cars! He wanted to elicit change in the Automotive industry. Guess what Ford is building a vehicle that’s basically using Tesla design now!! Hell VW is ALL in!! Also building cars based off of Tesla technology.

In 10 yrs I wouldn’t be surprised if Tesla breaks up simply because the Goal was accomplished. Yep the goal that finally the public gets EVs they can use.

What do I contribute? I personally write paychecks to a few dozen people every week and contribute hundreds of thousands back to our economy through local, state and federal taxes. We also volunteer time and money to local charities. What about you? Besides moving to my blocked list because none of that matters in this conversation.

Your what about this other thing mentality as well as constantly bringing up random red herrings in this and other conversations is laughable. Stay on topic, man!

Wow, that has to be the most ignorant post I have ever read. You actually think that because I'm from a small country I can't know things? You think that the place where one is born somehow makes you an expert in how to run (or not) big businesses. That would be laughable if it wasn't so frigging tragic.

The US is one of the biggest countries in the world - certainly the biggest country in the western world - yet the populace of the US are at the bottom when it comes to education and basic knowledge (and a host of other things). I live in Denmark. Look it up on any list. You might learn something. Oh, and while at it, look up "global trade" and so on. We are not some backwater with no knowledge of the outside world.

Your themes are not my own today, therefore you are wrong.

Your loud thinking is bothersome, your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!

Also, I find your use of "2nd" abhorrent. If you can't be troubled to write second when addressing this gathering, I have no use for your input.

Vive la Musk!

Good for you but none of that justifies your hard on for bashing a US Company for using legal funding methods. What topic? Anti Tesla BS?

No your Right all of Denmark matches one of our Cities GNP. And plays virtually no major International role in trade policy. Yet your miffed and post about Teslas business, actually Tesla CNN propaganda.

It's not so much bashing due to them using legal funding methods. It's bashing because evne though they use those funding methods, they still can't turn a profit. Mostly due to their incompetence.

I can bash whatever company that is using my tax dollars in ways that I don’t like that I well please. That’s kind of how it works here in America. I don’t live in Californiastan like you.

And if you can’t read back through your posts and see how many times you’ve deflected by bringing some unrelated other company into the conversation and attacking me, personally in this debate you’re hopeless.

Even more ignorant bile coming from you. We're 6 million people, so yeah, our GNP isn't that big compared to other countries. But it is very high per capita. We are also among the best educated, and because we are so small, we have always had to orient ourselves to the outside world.

But please look the rest of your ignorant ******** up online, because you really need to educate yourself.

You are arguing - in all seriousness - that because you happen to live in a large country, people from that country must somehow have innate knowledge of how to do trade, how to run big corporations, and so on. If that is not the epitome of ironic ignorance, I don't know what is.

You do this, all while being completely ignorant that people from the US are almost always at the rock bottom (in the developed world) when it comes to education, basic knowledge, and certainly knowledge about the rest of the world (including global trade).

You are so ignorant that you will proudly shout "USA #1", and ignoring the fact that there are very few things the US is even in the top twenty in anything. With regards to education and knowledge you are at the very bottom of any list. As in number 36-37 or so out of 40.
Look up some lists about education levels. You really need to.

Your loud thinking is bothersome...

1DFE71AA-69DB-4157-BF25-231BA83C6C2F.jpeg

“.....your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!”

But it was the heavenly scent of those sweetly fermented elderberries that attracted the demure, uncertain hamster in the first place! Without those enticing fruity smells inducing that original desperate coupling, and the pledged devotion afterwards of those star crossed lovers...hopeless romantics who were later heartlessly sent out into the cold rainy winter night by their angry, disappointed and disgusted bi-species parents, I would not be here on this earth today to painfully plague your overly sensitive auditory senses and tingle your aching tinnitus with my annoying and disruptive loud thoughts.

So, there is that....
