Great Job Scott and Charlie.
An EPIC Adventure of a lifetime!

I would be curious to compare your route to the rest of the participants. Your overland approach must be unique for the event and noteworthy! :rally_guys:

Looking forward to the stories!

Hope you guys can catch some of the Cultural programs (dancing & singing) they have in UB. The throat singers are very impressive. East of UB is the huge monument/museum of Chingas Khan, also not to be missed.

Congratulations on completing this amazng adventure.

Al,

I thought of you often when traveling through Mongolia. I am sure your experience with the scenery, wildlife (birds of prey) and culture (the wonderful generosity and general happiness of the nomads) was as wonderful as mine.

Mongolia is the highlight of all of my travels - it was everything I wanted it to be.

I expect our route is rare, but I am sure others have done similar. Although I find it interesting how few even know about the Wakhan Valley route. I would not presume that we are the first (in this type of rally) to do both the Wakhan Valley along the Afghan border and the Northern route in Mongolia (plus a few side tracks we had researched), but it is a possibility.

We could have done more, but I think Charlie struck the perfect balance between difficulty and pace.
