Very nice truck, and good to see it being used as intended! You should bring it to Conclave:http://www.conclave2012.com/Default.aspx

If you haven't looked already its also worth jumping onto the Defender Source and checking out the upcoming events-we have a happy hour every 3rd Thurs at some horrible dive bar in the NoVA area. Good crew of guys in the area.

Thanks Ray. Doing the NE Rally in VT next month, so not sure if I will also be able to swing Conclave. I will swing by Defender Source for getting to know a few more folks.

Hey Bhos,
Cool video. I assume that since then you've been making more use of the HDC.
I've been totally amazed by how great the truck performs with the stock tires. Just recently switched to 18s Hankook AT. So far so good.
Where are you located?

They are nice, but I don't know if I could bring myself to drive that nice shiny black paint through a tight overgrown off road track.
Exactly what I thought when I saw a RRC for the first time at the Rover dealer about 1978.
It's all relative I guess.

Ehh, a li'l pinstriping never hurt. Besides, commuting in the DC area is rife with rocks and bad drivers. If I'm going to take some lumps, I'd rather they be self inflicted and having some fun.

Limo will be getting new shoes this week, going with the GY Wrangler A/T Adventures 255/60/19. Will post pix when they are on. I've heard from enough people who have them and it's very positive so far. Besides, with the snow and ice we've been getting in the DC area I want one biased more towards that than the Cooper Zeons.

The new shoes. The GY Wrangler Adventures are very smooth on the road. I'll be hitting some trails soon and will report back.

Do they seem too soft with only a 109 load index for such a heavy vehicle? I will be interested to see how they are off road and how they hold up.

No not soft, just a smooth quiet ride. I will also be interested in how they do. IIRC the 20" tires have a 109 load index, as well.

Did some training with Bill Burke while he was in Virginia, down by Blacksburg. We did the challenge courses that will be used at MAR. It was very tight on the trails and got some minor damage. I did blow out one of the GY Adventures on a sharp rock. Overall, I am not that impressed with the Adventures on the rocks and mud. I have not had Cooper Zeons, so cannot make that comparison. I will load more later.

hopefully you have a "IFB" sticker to compensate for that scratch which for sure will just "buff out".

it now looks like a Rover used as designed.

Where were you wheeling down near Blacksburg? I live in Roanoke and am always looking for new trails.
