Thank you very much for sharing your trip. I can't tell you how inspired I am by your story and photos to get my rig up to speed and get on the trail. The pictures were breath taking. I'm working on my rig and hope to get up that way in the next couple of years. Can't wait! Thanks again, great read!

Awesome trip and terrific write up. I saw it on the front page at lunch and killed my whole afternoon reading it. I was hooked from the beginning with the trail carnage and recovery. I've been there and done that. Aren't dads awesome!

I'm shopping for a rooftop tent and I like the looks of the two in this pic. I have a couple questions if you don't mind:

What brand are they?
Is the one with the private entry on Frankenstein any harder to setup than the other one?

Thanks man! Love my dad a lot he is great.

The tents are both CVT tents. Mine is a Mt Shasta and mikes is a Mt Bachelor. They are the same size internally and great for two people. Be cozy with three. They are easy to setup. Only difference is I have one U shaped tube I have to pull and prop up the extended cover..so like..10 seconds haha but the trade off is that I don't have to get the tent poles and use them so really, mine is faster to just open and jump in. The biggest part is my annex is way bigger. Will sleep another 3 people if needed.

Here are some vids to show you mine
