Also finally mounted the level to help fine tune camp setup.

FYI I keep a level like that in the middle of the console for my 2nd Gen Tacoma and it helps get things straight without having to get out (that's the only place in the cab I found that's as level as the camper). Pull forward a little more to see if it makes a difference... and a little more...

x4 on a level camper for comfort.

I've been using the "bubble level" mounted on the center console (side to side level) and B-pillar (frt to back level) method for quite a few years, along with a set of Fiamma level-up ramps for needed adjustments.
When aquiring any new rig/set-up I park it on a verified completely level surface, then install the bubble levels.

I use the same bubble levels on my camper, on the flat bed on both sides. Not a bad idea to put them inside either though and has me thinking... I'm pretty sure you changed your shore power connecter on your camper to something a little more weather/waterproof, what was it that you did?

I use the same bubble levels on my camper, on the flat bed on both sides. Not a bad idea to put them inside either though and has me thinking... I'm pretty sure you changed your shore power connecter on your camper to something a little more weather/waterproof, what was it that you did?

No shore power on my camper.

Well, if I do need shore power I pull an extension cord in through the turnbuckle hatch, so that is my shore power connection.

Not even close to the cost of a single halon, and I like to have at least two separate extinguishers.

The design of the rack holds the cans securely. I had thought I would need a little strap across the top, but I think it will hold without.

I went ahead and and have a SmartPlug on the way. Looks to be completely weatherproof, I'll update on how it works.

I ordered a Norco bottle jack to replace the factory screw jack. I figured with the added weight on the rear it would not hurt to have a burlier jack.

I went with the 3-ton Norco, as it looked like it will fit in the stock mount. Unfortunately the jack I received was not the one I ordered, so the correct jack is still on its way. The 2-ton Norco that I received looked to be quality built, so I think this will work good. Update on mounting in the factory location to come.


(My current jack is a stock jack from a Tundra, it had a little more height than the Tacoma jack, a good thing with the added height of the truck from the Old Man Emu suspension.)

Good call. I upgraded to a 6-ton Husky bottle jack right away. The stock jack was a complete joke for my application. :smilies27
