The Turtle - 96 XJ Country Build

Nothing exciting, but new floor pan arrived yesterday.

Something exciting, JCROffroad Vanguard Winch bumper arrives today! w00t!

So excited! I'll snap some pics when I get home.

Got a basic tune up done this weekend.

Davis Unified Ignition Cap and Rotor
Davis Unified Ignition Screaming Demon Coil
Taylor ThunderVolt 8.2mm Spark Plug Wires
New Plugs gapped to .065 (Per screaming demon instructions)
Wix Fuel Filter

Seems to run a good bit smoother, old fuel filter had to be old as dirt. Also the points in the cap were pretty well worn. So this should be a nice upgrade. Also the coil is rated at 45000v, I believe the stock one is somewhere around 30000v or something. So that's a nice upgrade as well.

Haven't got much done because I've been sick the past few days.

Researching a stroker motor, a 4.6-4.7L.

Jeep is going to a local fab shop here next weekend while I'm out of town to get sliders and a new floor pan welded in.

Alrighty, so this weekend will be a jeep overhaul!

Parts to install this weekend:
JCROffroad Vanguard Winch Bumper
Hood Louvers
JCR Uniframe Tie Ins & Steering Box Brace
MORE Steering Box Brace
Currie Anti-Rock Sway Bar

also paint flares and lower body black.

Did you get the new rear springs or add-a-leafs in the rear?

Never mind. I just re-read the first post. Give the rear leafs a couple of months. They will settle more than the front coils when they break in. Might even want to break the torque on the front and rear spring bolts and the top of the shackles to let them settle a bit easier then re torque them.

That's a good idea, I may do that.

It is pretty far off now that there is a new bumper up front. But I assume when I add the rear bumper it'll help even it out.
