The difference is diesel vs. unleaded. Diesel being far safer and less likely to ignite. Regardless, I still travel with unleaded in the vehicle in proper containers.

That's what I've always suspected. What specifically do you consider a "proper container" ? I've had good luck with Rotopax. Not quiet as good luck with scepter MFCs.
