Traded Tacoma for '16 ecoboost F-150. Heresy?!

I saw one of those Softoppers on a Dodge. Definitely drool worthy. :victory:
Do the back windows on your Extended cab go down?
I keep looking at the FX4 package short bed extended cab.

Yeah I love the softopper look and it ticks all the boxes for me. I considered hard shells and RCIs upcoming half height bed rack and RTT. I like the idea that I can fold it down if I need to haul large items but I still get the benefits of a hard shell minus the security factor for gear.

I'll be building a nice sleeping and storage platform when the weather warms up.

Yes, my back windows roll down. I wish my rear glass rolled down or had a slider. Base truck problems haha.

Looking forward to seeing what you do.
I've slept in the Jeep with the soft top, and it works great because the soft top breathes really well.

I was thinking the same thing to be able to pull a small 5th wheel, then take off in the truck for a few days - week to go explore.
There is a light 5th wheel that can be configured with a goose neck from the mfg, leaving the bed wide open. :)
Very cool that the rear windows go down, this saves me from needing a crew cab. No truck is complete without dog slobber down the sides.
I need to go truck shopping. :)

I read Hennessey at first.... Which would be an awesome upgrade. :D 600 horses http://hennesseyperformance.com/veh...-ford-f-150/2015-ford-f-150-velociraptor-600/

Haha oh my! Yeah, Hennessey would be a big upgrade. It is so easy to make a bunch more power out of the ecoboosts. It is tempting but I've still got a warranty for a while that I'd like to fully maintain. Plus, this thing has plenty of power as is. More than adequate.

Yeah that would be nice with the 5th wheel. That's really the draw to these for me is that you can still use your truck as a truck if need be. My truck isn't dedicated to overlanding only or I might reconsider. Glad you've enjoyed your soft top. I hope I like mine too.

Updated the OP with the following :)

New items to be added ASAP 1/9/2017
Will update with pics as these are installed. All items have been ordered
-Black softopper
-Custom frame mount rock sliders (coming 2/3)
-CB Radio (already installed)
-Bilstein 5100 rear shocks
-Sylvania silverstar ultra headlights (installed)
-20" lightbar in grille
-SDHQ A pillar light mounts w/ spot lamps
-1.25" BORA wheel spacers
-Adding a 33" spare tire
-Bed Mat

Where did you find a place to do sliders? I could use a set but I need the ability to also use them as a step too.

I heard about a custom shop in Northern Indiana called P&P engineering. Their main focus is actually the Nissan crowd I believe but they did a ton of custom work on my friend's TRD Pro Tundra and it turned out amazing. He has a build thread on here somewhere. He calls his truck Brutus.

I just asked for basic sliders because I'm only worried about body damage but if they are similar to how his turned out they should function as a step.

Added the softopper and spent the weekend running around the Manistee with Midwest Overlanders.

So disorganized at the moment. Need to get my platform built.

It's a long process to get it dialed in. It's so easy to get out of hand having a full size rig.

We get ours loaded. Then the wife comes out with more and more. The topper lets me easily pack over the bed rails with crap.

Not for much longer. I'm getting a diamond back truck cover. Everything will be slimmed down and will have its place.

Haha yeah I was set up for having tools, etc in the toolbox and crates in the bed...now I've lost my tool box and everything was scattered. Digging out my recovery gear was a real pain when I got buried.

Hey, are you worried about paint wear on the tailgate from the Trasharoo? Maybe some 3M film would help protect it?

Uhhh....I wasn't until you just said that haha. I haven't noticed any wear on the paint but I will look into that.

not playing favorites, but im curious on everyones take on the bed? Im sure everyone has seen the chevy commercial with the patio blocks and the tool box being dropped in the aluminum bed. how durable is it to you guys?

My co-morons haven't been able to tear through one yet. But ours have Rino lining or something that's really, really thick in the center of the bed.
