Trailers, RTT and Bears

Yes, next they will be armed with AR15s and not ninja sticks.
That bear spinning the stick is pretty cool though.

A good thread that went down hill very fast in the last 2 pages.

I camp in bear country, there are black bear and grizzly's. The best defense is in your head (brain), if you are smart with food storage and contamination you will be fine. Set up your sleeping area 150-200ft from your food prep area, change out of your cooking cloths before going over to your sleeping area (keep cooking cloths in cooking area). Store food in a tree or locked in a truck I have also put food in water proof bags and sunk them in a lake.

The car alarm trick is also very good at detouring black bears. I also have bear bangers, peeper spray and an air horn.

I also do not camp in an area with visible bear activity (tree scraps, river with spawning fish) anything to reduce the chance of having a bear problem.

All though I like the idea of having a RTT on top of a Off road trailer I would be very hesitant to do that here if I also cooked or stored food in it.
