Love my BD with amber lens. Super bright and way better on the eyes in snow/dust. Heck even at night as it’s not so blinding (color temp wise). It seems to show better contrast on the road imo when used on 2 lane roads with no oncoming traffic. They are blinding to oncoming traffic though lol

I agree - I think the Hancook Dynapro ATM are an underrated tire. I ran these in 245/75/16 E-rating on my 1st gen Tacoma. The size suited the truck very well, and the tires were tough as nails and served me well in quite a range of conditions : mud, snow, rough forestry roads, 2-track bush trails, slushy hiway. You kindof run the gamut of bad road conditions when hunting across north-central Alberta.
The only negatives I can state for these tires were: 1) slightly rough ride, but thats a given for an E-rated tire on a really light truck, and 2) noise on dry pavement seemed to increase over time, as the tread wore. But I imagine this is common to most AT tires.

I would consider running them again, and the price is typically significantly lower than other *name your favorite brand* ATs.
However, I just pulled the trigger on a set of Cooper ST Maxx for my new-to-me 2003 AC Tundra. Decided to try something different.

Funny timing. I just switched from the Dynapro to the K02 so I'll share my thoughts. Keep in mind I had the ATM which they have now replaced with a version that's supposed to be even better called the AT2.

I felt like the Dynapro was an underrated all terrain. I really liked them. They wore well and had excellent wet traction. They have the 3 peak mountain snowflake rating and I think a 50k mile warranty. They were quiet too. I will admit I never had a chance to test them hard off road. Just some snow and ice. I had them about 13k miles before moving up to 33's and thats when I switched to the K02's in June.

The K02s are a great tire but there is one thing I hate. The tread design means they trap a ton of small gravel. If you don't drive on a lot of gravel this shouldn't be an issue. Once I leave the forrest rd and get back on pavement the body of my truck gets brutalized with flying gravel. I slightly wish I had gone with something else. I also have an annoying vibration at 70mph but I'm going to have discount tire check them at my first rotation. But, there is a reason the K02 is so popular, it's still a great tire and looks mean!

For reference, I'm running 285/70/17 C range on SCS wheels.

I may try the BFG Mud Terrains or Cooper STT Pros next.

Quick and dirty Front Runner Wolf pack box mod..

I spotted these Dee Zee diamond plate mud flaps and thought they might fit. Makes a great step or seat. It could probably be done with adhesive, but There’s a slight bend in them and I was being impatient.

New shoes are on.. Need to put some miles on them, but so far they are pretty smooth and quiet. I'm happy.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W. After playing a bit of price matching, I got these for around $200 less than the BFG's and less than others I considered.

How do you like the 265/70R17 size? I've got 275/70R17s and while I've never driven my truck on anything else, it seems like it's a bit too tall for the gearing.

It’s been my go to size and very easy to find. I’m not really into the bigger tire scene, but the extra 1” over stock does look better after any lift. Stock size on my tundra is 265/65/17.

More rewiring in the works..

I got tired of trying to keep it in an enclosure, but this feels like a monstrosity. Also, an attempt was made to redo the walls in pine..

Nice. Easy to get away with lighting mods.

Haha.. Yeah, I have a bit of a light collection and maybe a small addiction.

I really want to try some Baja Design lights with the yellow but I need a bracket kit first.

I took the headliner down this week. I need to run some wire and modify the dome light. Also replaced a couple rivnuts for the roof rack that didn’t grab good.

Resealed everything with 3M 5200. While at it, I stuck several pieces of square aluminum tubing to the roof evenly spaced. Figured it’s a good start for a mounting surface. It really firms up the roof too.

I’m thinking a molle panel roughly 32x10 should fit pretty good.

Coroplast mock up. Trying to get a good fit in that headliner indentation.
