Kevin's doing the first leg from Marion MA to Bermuda and I'm flying with my son to Bermuda on Sat to pick up the 2nd leg to St. Thomas. I'll try to post a preliminary write-up on the VTXS website soon as well.

Thanks. It was my first time as a passenger on a wheeling trip, and I was able to get a lot of shots I would have missed had I been driving.

where can I find information on the roads / maps? I am heading up that way in a few weeks and would like to check some of them out, if there isn't too much snow that is.

oh, man - tell me that you can e-mail me a high-res pic of the yellow LR (Marshfield, 10/30 - which I am assuming is yours) up to it's bumper in muddy water - awesome pic!!!

And also tell me that at least one of those trails is in the Stowe/Mt. Mansfield area - I go up there for a week every year, and have been wishing that I could find some decent trails to go exploring. Hiking trials have been plentiful, including the peak of Mansfield, but I would totally love advice on 4wd trails in the area!

The Town Select Boards close the Class IV Town Highways to motor vehicles from Nov. 15 to May 15 each year as they are usually snowmobile routes then and to prevent damage during the spring "Mud Season" in VT. Please respect posted seasonal closures.

ahh closed during those times, that's good to know. I would never go on them if they weren't open, no worries there. Doing that type of thing is the reason places like this aren't open anymore.
Still, I would like to know where to get some info and plan a trip for next summer. If someone could post a link or email me at cstamm81@gmail.com I'd sincerely appreciate it.

Just because a road is on the map does not mean it is passable or even exists in a visible way. Please use discretion if it happens to lead right through someones rose garden or is overly intrusive. Oftentimes parallel stone walls about 50 ft apart line the old roads. A GPS with topo overlay is helpful.
