Interesting article I got off a g-wagen site. Being 51 and counting the months to my early retirement in 4 years, this kind of story makes me dream, with envy....

Thats truly inspiring! I would love to do a trip like that. My fist trip will be to the baja 1000 next year to be a chase truck for a friend who running in the stock full class. Good test for the truck and I'm really looking forward to it.

The G Wagons we get here in the states are around $100k brand new, loaded with all the bells and whistles, and massive V8 engines. The rest of the world gets the stripped down (military style) versions with diesels that are well suited for expeditions...and are much cheaper. They have 2 doors, 4 doors, and convertibles.
