Yeah I couldn't get past that either, all that plastic is screaming to get torn to shreds.....looks like they were going for some funky fighter jet look or something.

I just noticed these are billed as 2015 models on Toyota's website. I guess that answers the question of, "Will there be a new Tacoma for 2015?" with a resounding NO.

Yeah that's interesting. I thought the new Taco would be a 2015 model with all the "special editions" they have done with it over the last 2 years I figured it was on the way out. Guess not. Really just wish they would give it a 6spd auto and a diesel. But that body is looking old (besides the newer bumper). Most of us thought it would be only a year or two behind the 4runner redo in 2009.

So basically you would still come out way ahead buying a base model and adding a mid travel suspension for a couple thousand.

These are only a good deal for a buyer who is going to leave the truck in complete stock form. For just about anyone that is going to get out and really use any of those trucks offroad, the suspension will probably get swapped out to provide a bit more lift to fit bigger tires than the 265's that come on it. Kinda unfortunate really. Now if the front coilovers are able to just swap to a taller coil and keep the remote reservoir bilsteins then that could be a plus. Total shame that the Tacoma didn't get the 1/4" aluminum skids. That would have been a nice upgrade.

As for the aesthetics, I dig the Inferno color. I actually like the 4Runner front end quite a bit, but it would be a ********** to cut up and use an aftermarket bumper. The Tundra just looks fat to me. They overemphasized the grill IMO

Ok, ok, lots of bashing here. Probably rightfully so, but if I were in the market today, I would probably get one. Yeah, no big performance upgrades, but I do love the unique visual add-ons. Suspension wise, no big deal. Get some OME and sell the OEM's for just as much to the fellow yearning for factory stuff. So consider it a "free upgrade." Front bumper isn't THAT bad, but I'm sure it'll be more paletable with an ARB up front for you folks.

Overall, I like it. But make mine black.

People just like to complain, and are generally miserable. ;)

Seems like a decent mass market package to me. :D

Gim'me a white Tacoma for me, and a red 4Runner for the Misses...
