That's a good resource....I just wish I could get the MVUM info on a real map. The PDF's are OK, but many aren't geoPDF and all are not exactly...user friendly ;/

Shane, here in CO, they are available free at any forest service office. Try calling one, maybe they are mailable.

Awesome, thanks for finding this as they are required to be on your person while offroad in every forest if one is available. They have to be free to fit this requirement and are loacated at every FS's website, sometimes not easily found. This link will allow you to download it to any electronic device so you won't need a paper copy. I find that these maps are a pain in the butt for use, but I use them for planning and marking on a better map to keep myself out of trouble.
What I mean by trouble is, All FS roads/trails are now considered closed unless marked open on the MVUM. You must also check each FS's website for current status prior to heading out.
