Tomorrow we're shooting a new video, excited for this one as we've been planning it for a while. I have a local air strip rented so we can do some braking & slalom testing! I talk to a lot of guys that think our rigs are just for the "hardcore" or "rock crawler" crowd and thats just not true. Yes, our vans can go out and twist up as everyone knows but they also drive x-country in comfort and out handle every 4x4 van I've driven. Hopefully this video will help prove my point. It's hard to get a baseline on this because ride quality & handling is so subjective…..
We're using V5 for the test, its the best performer. Due to the versatility of the E series the #s won't work across the range, obviously a loaded 9k camper van won't perform the way V5 does @ 6800lbs. Something is better than nothing though!
Anyone have measurements for how tall an e350 with the 6" lift kit on 35's would be?
To bottom of Front Frame Support: 29"
Front Wheel Well: 46"
Rocker under driver's door': 26"
Rear Wheel Well: 45"
To Rear Door: 37"
To Roof Gutter Rail: 90"
Total Height: Approx 92"
Steel blue van looks soooooooo good! Nice work Ujoint team!!!
Agreed ... and you weren't kidding about "all the bells and whistles" that it was getting, either.
Any similar weight competitor (quigley, advanced, quadvan) 4x4 vans in the area to put to the test?
Thanks bknudtsen!
Could you guys do a stock econoline in the comparison? Older vs newer vans? Sorry im
Making this video complicated - i think its a rad idea. Wish I could film it for ya.
