Chris,

Can you give some details about the locking fuel door on the steel blue van? Is the quality pretty nice? Who makes them?

Thanks!

All Sales Manufacturing makes them. Quality is decent for the price, they fit & look good. I did have issues with mine freezing up in snow/ice but thats it.

How have the rv bodies been holding up to mild offroad use? Worried about everything falling apart inside.

I don't recommend a Class C or anything similar for anything but beach use.

Thanks man, means a lot considering the toys you're around every day!

I checked the 60-0mph stopping distance of our shop '06 Porsche 997S, and supposedly it's 94'. Your V5 w. RSC brakes is 111'. Only 17' further for the big beastly van than a PORSCHE sportscar with big red Brembo's/cross-drilled rotors. That's INCREDIBLY impressive Chris.

We did over 6 stops from 60 and ranged from 94-135'. Video will be up soon, hope today.

Anyone is welcome to come by the shop and take a ride in V5 if they don't believe the results, I'll even arrange the air strip if necessary.

We've been working on V4 an hour here, hour there, now its time for a full tear down. New engine, more lift, sliders & belly skid, swapping out the rear locker, clean clean clean! Getting it ready for Overland Expo east. Lots to do so we need to jump on it and my stuff is always the last to be worked on!

3 ************** pics!
New engine for V4? How big a lift? C'mon Chris, details details! :)

Yep! I had planned to swap the engine before winter but one of the injectors gave up on life a few weeks ago. V4 isn't going anywhere so why not have it all fresh?!?! I'm going up 2" on suspension to clear some 38/13.50/20's like Vanaconda had. Changing and adding a few little things too, haven't done much to it since we finished in late 2012.

The Kilby SMB went home today!
