Moving along on the OPTIMA build. Shocks, fuel tank, finished the front axle, cut the spare tire x-member out for the rear skid, lots of little bits & pieces. Should have bumpers & wheels tomorrow!

It's been 2 days of little BS things, all the wiring & plumbing eats serious time!

Here's a pic when we rolled it out for exhaust. These are my wheels for V7, the correct wheels will be here tomorrow (we hope)

Racks are SOOOOO close to shipping. We keep revising to make it better & better, this is the final revision. Now we'll knock out the flooring inserts and accy's.

Working on some parts to make the 4R70/75 transmission swap easier for our mail order customers. Still needs to be done by a transmission shop but there's no excuse for the "we can't do that" attitude that a lot of guys come across.

Another tear down, super nice 5.4 low mileage rig. Going 6" with a lot of extras.

Hey Chris, do you have a protocol you use/recommend for breaking in new gears? There are a good number of recommended procedures out there and I figure you're doing this all the time on vans... so I thought I'd ask. Also, I bet a lot of customers at the shop are driving their new rigs a long ways home with new gears.
Is there a difference in break-in between numerically lower (eg. 4.10) and higher (eg. 4.88) gears? Or different considerations for various traction devices while breaking in the gears (e. ARB vs E-locker vs Truetrac/LS...)?
Thanks!
