Do those 08 and up bumpers fit the 07 and down vans with no other modifications to the front end? (no 08 and up grill/fenders)

A few people have done '08-up front clip swaps on older vans. Chris did one recently with all new Ford parts. Look back a few pages and you should see it.

I really need to schedule a visit to see the fleet and convince the wife.

Come on!

Hey Chris, do you have a protocol you use/recommend for breaking in new gears? There are a good number of recommended procedures out there and I figure you're doing this all the time on vans... so I thought I'd ask. Also, I bet a lot of customers at the shop are driving their new rigs a long ways home with new gears.
Is there a difference in break-in between numerically lower (eg. 4.10) and higher (eg. 4.88) gears? Or different considerations for various traction devices while breaking in the gears (e. ARB vs E-locker vs Truetrac/LS...)?
Thanks!

Yea its tough with guys picking up the vans and driving long distance. No heavy loads, try not to stay at a consistent speed for too long works for us.

If you're looking to just swap the bumper it would probably look a bit funny.

And last but not least, the one platform that I'll most likely be working with in the future. These things are cool! I know they're not the best looking but I think we can fix that with some decent rubber under them! I have some ideas, should be pretty straight forward. Hope to pick up a donor by the end of the year so we can cut it up.

Nissan hey? Agreed, not the best looking but should be way easier working on the engine. I've seen a couple done up and they transform pretty good. Looking forward to your 1st one!

6" lift with 37's looks good. Anymore pics of it?

Have you guys ever done a custom link suspension in place of the leaves? Seems like with the custom dampers and your air bag options, there would be no need for leaf springs. I know the newer Superduy trucks are coils and radius arms, but I dont know about the vans, so maybe I am off base here.

The blue van would be close to my dream. Also very intrigued about the Nissan. Going to keep an eye on that one.

Awesome, can't wait. I think I may have brought this idea up (albeit briefly) a while back in this thread ... very cool to see you revisiting the thought. I was the one who pointed you at Rugged Rocks Offroad on the Facebook post, and I really do hope Steven can be a great resource for you as the project takes shape; even if it's just for research (the man's a wizard with cross compatibility of parts and all that).

8" lift with 37's is standard, or 6"/35s or 4"/33s.

UJOR's kits don't include radius arms/coils; Quigley, QuadVan, SMB's do...but UJOR's ride is superior, especially off-pavement. Just incredibly comfortable(on-pavement too) and well-planted. :smiley_drive:
