UJOR Build Thread

We still need to install the slide locks & bed sides, but here it is. Gotta find time to get this thing back in the shop.

Just want to share 2 stories about 2 vendors I've dealt with recently. One is www.dieselorings.com. GREAT service. He picked up the phone, took my order, gave me good info & suggestions, and I had an order conformation via email before we hung up! The parts shipped when he said the would, and arrived on time. This is what I like (as should everyone)

One of my new years resolutions is to crack down on slacker vendors. Slack up & you're gone. I don't expect my customers to suffer because of your incompetence.

The 2nd vendor is Glassworks Unlimited. I planned on using a set of his fenders for V4, so I started with a nice email explaining the build, what I plan to do, and how I plan on selling more fenders in the future. No response. So I called, talked to Tim & placed the order. He said it would be about a week. No problem, I've got time. 2 weeks goes by, no contact. I called & he said they were ready to go out the next day. Still nothing..... won't answer the phone..... email, nothing. Never got tracking info. I did get a VM on the 8th and he said they shipped, but still NO tracking info. I still haven't heard from him, this is what I call HORRIBLE service. So I will not be purchasing his fenders, and I don't recommend anyone doing business with him. It's a real shame because I like the product.

Venting over :)

I second the service at dieselorings.com. Just did a full fuel bowl rebuild and I had to order from him twice (took me awhile to notice I lost the darn tiny black ball in the drain valve!) Both times I ordered online at night and the items were shipped by the next morning.

Front spring hangers are drilled and ready for powder, should have them back Monday. I also removed the front suspension so V4 should have a F axle under it Mon/Tues!! We've been cleaning up the frame and working on the engine too. I LOVE working on these things with the body off.

Gabe in KS received his axle & conversion kit Wednesday of last week. He may have set a record for completion!! He still has to do the t-case, but this 2011 E350 is on the road. Looks great too!

Wow! does that two tone silver ever look awesome with the black windows and wheels (though I'd personally ease up on the rim bling factor for bonus points)...Very nice! Cheers!

Chris, I would like to vote for this as your next project. I say 6" Lift with 35's. You can use it to shuttle customers to and from the airport. I say this because I am currently planning a 4x4 van project and your company figures heavily into those plans. Been cruising craiglist in your region looking for "the" van. My girlfriend's brother lives in NC, and I am hatching a plan to visit him and drive back in a newly lifted UJOR van...

That thing looks fun to get on the rack! What a beast, would look good on some 35's, thats for sure.

And your plan sounds pretty good to me!
