Any new pictures of V4?

The chassis is covered up while we collect parts & give the body guys time to finish the cab. I'm actually paying them a visit today, so I'll snap a pic. They've been tied up on another project, so V4 progress has been slow.

Saw this while walking around Moab today and thought of V4:

Rolled H3Van out of the shop today for a short test drive, everything feels good so far. We'll be adding a 2" block in the rear tomorrow as well as putting some more test miles on the odo.

Picked up Supervan2.0 from the engine shop, and threw it right on the lift. Here it is right before surgery! Tomorrow is the major strip down day.

Busy day today! And yesterday..... Got Supervan2.0 in this morning and proceeded with the teardown. Front suspension, rear axle & suspension, fuel tank, everything from the frame down is gone! We also drilled the frame for the spring hangers. The plasma makes an appearance tomorrow.

Man, you are one busy guy. Is this axle a semi float? The one on my mini bus is massive compared to this and it's an E350 too.

I should let Chris chime in, but I think that is the old semi-float coming out.

I haven't seen many full floater passenger vans, but maybe they exist.

Full-Floaters have the hub sticking out with the 6 bolts in the end so you can slide the inner drive axle out without even removing the tire/wheel. The wheel hub has its own set of bearing that take the load. Just like a front hub. There is no load on the rotating inner drive axle, the load is on the bearings.
A semi-float drive axle has the lugbolt flange right on the end of the inner drive axle and takes the load of the vehicle.

My 7.3 Diesel has a semi float and so does my brothers 5.8, they are both short body cargo vans. But my friends long body cargo has a full floater, and so did a lot of the older vans. I believe that the 15 pass vans usually had full floaters ?
