So I got an ARB twin compressor....started to think about how I wanted to set it up and had the idea in my mind what I wanted....procrastinated.....looked at your site and what do I find? your OBA kit which is exactly what I wanted...Okay I got it look at your website first Ha! Seriously we have spoken before and you have been very helpful...so now its time for payback...I would like to buy your kit sans ARB compressor since I have one ....is that possible?

Your V4 is awesome...sorry I wasn't in reno when you came thru.....

Spotted V4 driving north on 395 just outside of Big Pine CA on Sunday. LOOKED SWEEEEET!!!! Wish I could have seen it up close.

We had just stopped at the gas station in Big Pine where I saw an old friend. We had the top up and everything, wish you had driven by then!

Thats funny! No problem selling the OBA01 kit without the compressor, I'll shoot you a PM. Thanks!

Funny how that works isn't it

Lots to update! We left SEMA and headed right for the Sierras. Spent the 1st night in the Alabama Hills to break the camper in. We drove in late, set up camp and woke up to this!



The next day we headed up 395 to Mammoth lakes and spent 2 nights in a campground. We were by ourselves, really nice. The campground was closing for the season in just a few days. Mammoth is one of my favorite places!

We then headed down to LA to see family, stopping along the way to see some sights. Here is V4 playing a bit @ Olancha Dunes.



2 days in LA and it was time to get back to Vegas so I could drop Jennifer off at the airport. She doesn't do x-country trips with me anymore V4 got a bit grumpy on the way to Vegas. I limped it into town so we could enjoy the evening and started diagnosing in the AM. To make a long story short, it was the fuel pump. I drove it to Williams AZ, put word out on facebook that I was having problems, and the UJOR army sprung into action! It was really amazing. Within 30 minutes I had several phone calls come in and 2 guys from Flagstaff brought me the pump and a few tools that I needed to swap it. The power of the internet, quite amazing

From there it was pedal to the metal to get home. Got it yesterday afternoon with a dirty V4 and plenty of work to do. Over 7K miles on a rig tht I pulled from a junkyard less than a year ago and test drove 5 miles before we started the trip. Pretty proud of my crew.

And..... while I was gone the guys started working on the next build. You may remember this SUPER nice 03 7.3 that arrived recently from SMB Indiana. 15K on the odo. Axles are out, tranny has been converted to 4wd, and the frame is drilled for the front hangers. Should have this beauty on the ground early next week! 6" on 35's, Stage 2 Dana 60 with RSC upgrade and a Stage 2 Sterling out back.



And another arrival! Another great 7.3 rig, another Ambo! Full build, inside and out.

On a sad note, we lost a good friend this week. I met Jamie the same way I meet a lot of great people, thru forums and the internet. We exchanged emails before he bought his current van a few years ago. When he got the van he stopped by the shop to pick up some parts and say hi, wound up helping me out and had dinner with jennifer & I before he headed back to CA. We stayed in touch constantly, Jamie was a wealth of knowledge and a true gear head. We not only shared a love of vans, we even liked the same cars! (Audi wagons usually dominated our discussions) Jamie was a Porsche encyclopedia and traveled to all of the American LeMans races, he really knew his stuff. We planned to build his van here in NC, and he wanted to start doing installs on the west coast which made me very happy because of his attention to detail. He analyzed everything! I really had to be on my toes with him!

When he volunteered to come help with V4 I didn't hesitate to say yes. He lived a few hours away and arrived @ XP before I did. He knew more about the camper than I do right now! We all worked our tails off to finish the camper for 3 days and Jamie was a huge help. Here he is working on the wiring:



So I guess this is my way of giving tribute to a friend, wish I could have said thank you a few more times. You'll be missed buddy.
