UJOR Build Thread

Rent the tool from the auto parts store or buy a cheap one at Harbor Freight. If they don't have it, you could also make one... I have quite a few Frankenstein tools made from bits and pieces of Harbor Freight stuff.

when I got the quote I dang near defecated a clay based rectangular building unit.
:Wow1:  Save that, uh "kid friendly colorful metaphor" for later :sombrero:

Shoot, around here they wanted $850 just to do the stripe on each side of mine.

Check with Mike Moore at ScoutCo http://www.scoutcoproducts.com/ they specialize in stripes for International Harvester Scouts, but the other half of his business is graphics for big trucks. I don't personally know if he's ever done a stripe for a van or ambo, but if you take some pictures and get some dimensions I'd bet Mike could cut a stripe for you for a whole lot less.

I got the hoodstripe on my Scout from him. Easy to install.

Any vinyl sign or sticker printing shop that has someone with a brain should be able to do this quite easily. You need an exterior grade film from a good company like 3M, a good eye and some patience. It is not rocket science to apply pressure sensitive vinyl to a car.

If that stripe is $850, I am in the wrong business.....

Frame prep on AlphaVan is complete! Every mod we can think of has been made so it can go to the blaster and then to get coated. I just want to test fit a frame mount battery tray that we designed up for the pass side frame rail. Will hold 3 Optimas.
