Wallets

I could get one of these or get another fat wallet for the other pocket and even my cheeks out for cushion each side :D

Hey, you may be on to something there, market them as rear end leveling blocks. or a wallet annex.

Seems like many of you use a front pocket, small cardholder/wallet. I do not like sitting on the wallet all the time, I am constantly taking it out of my pocket when I can, thats how the dog ended up eating it.

Don't the cards get bent when wearing the wallet in your front pocket?

I like the high quality small leather wallets, anyone got any more suggestions?

I may have to go with one of these to fit all my wallet junk.:Wow1:
It's as cool as a hip pack can ever be.

The cheapest one you can find that suits your needs. It's just holding your money and some cards and your sitting on it half the time. I found a cheapo at Target that holds money and cards, what more could I ask for?

Best one I ever had was actually made by Timberland, you know the boot company. It was trifold that lasted me many many years through some serious abuse, several dunkings, sand, concrete dust, steel shavings. etc. Just your average leather wallet but seemed to be made tougher than any other I have had.

Maybe Pelican makes a wallet?

Come on people do we really need an thread on Expo Wallets?

There is very little that we truly need in life. But I will admit that I have a long list of rules for my wallet:

1 - has to be leather, and not black. Not sure why, but I hate black wallets.
2 - has to have an ID window that does not require flipping to show the license.
3 - has to comfortably hold 3 credit cards and 3 membership cards easily accessible, and have slots for my insurance cards (all 3 of them) and 4 more membership cards. These are all items that I use at least once every 2 weeks.
4 - if it has a space for money, great. But not the end of the world if it does't, as I actively avoid carrying cash.

My current wallet is by Fossil, cost $12, and will probably last me about a year or two which happens to generally coincide with the point at which I get bored with a wallet.

I have a Spec-Ops THE wallet that is big enough to hold my passport.

But sometimes I think it's too big, so I have been eying the Maxpedition Spartan wallet for EDC.

BTW, I bought the SpecOps wallet nearly 9 years ago and it still hasn't failed me. :Wow1:

All-Ett thin wallets. I went through this exercise a couple of years ago. Looked at stainless steel, duct tape, etc. This was the most practical and useful for me. It forces me to keep the contents to the minimum.

Why do I carry a small wallet? A little $, insurance cards (cars and medical), ATM/credit cards, driver's lic.

Best wallet ive ever owned......though i keep my cash in my right front pocket and only use a wallet for the extra cards and id's in my other pocket.

Interesting thread, and timely, too. My current wallet started coming apart last week.

I like the thin idea, but also need to carry a couple spare keys (having them in my wallet has saved me a couple times...luckily my car doesn't have a smart key, just an oldschool flat metal one) and a fair bit of cash. I don't do plastic anymore, neither credit nor debit, so a wallet needs to be able to comfortably hold 20-30 bills, at least. It seems like most wallets are either ultra-minimalist or are set up to hold 20+ freaking credit cards and such....neither of which suits my needs.

Anyway, keep the suggestions coming!

I use a cigarette case with cash rubber banded around in in the front pocket. Bandana in the back pocket on right, Adventure Medical Kits Pocket survival pack in the left rear pocket and phone in the left front pocket, Leatherman wave on the right hip, lighter in a cargo pocket or right front and cigar case in my shirt pocket :)

You better be careful, a bandana in the back pocket can either get you shot or a date depending on the neighborhood:sombrero:
